Next day. At the Grill.

I was sitting at the bar.

Me "Matty, how about you give me a drink?"

Matt raised an eyebrow at me "It's the middle of the day, Adelaide."

I raised an eyebrow "Doesn't mean i can't drink"

Matt sighed "Scotch?"

I smiled "please"

He took a glass out, poured Scotch in it and handed it to me.

I smiled "thanks"

I took my money out and handed him the money.

Matt "thank you"

I pulled out a little vial and poured the vervain in my drink.

Then I took a sip of my drink and coughed a little.

 I know Elijah wouldn't dare to pull anything stupid but i'm not taking any risks.

Then saw someone sitting down next to me.

I looked at the person "How's your first day of freedom?"

Stefan "Drinking in the middle of the day?"

Me "My 1000 years old vampire ex is ghosting around Mystic Falls. I don't have a choice"

Stefan sighed "about that...Elena told me about the deal you made."

I sighed "Can't you just let it go? Everything is okay. She's still breathing."

Stefan "Look, I can't just pretend like everything is okay"

I nodded " Yes, you can. Elijah promised to keep her and everyone else safe as long as we play by his rules."

Stefan shook his head "I don't like that idea"

Me "Good that i didn't ask for your opinion. What's up with the rumor that you're looking for Isobel?"

Stefan raised an eyebrow "you know Isobel?"

I gave him a look.

Stefan nodded, sighing "of course you do"

Me "She's a bitch. Don't go after her. You want information about Klaus? All you have to do is ask me"

Stefan "Thing is, Katherine said Isobel could have some answers and I just have a couple questions, that's all."

I raised my eyebrows, confused "Questions i don't have the answers to? "

Stefan sighed "Adelaide"

Me "Don't go after Isobel. Sweetie, i made a deal with Elijah"

Stefan "you made a deal with him. I didn't make one. You should keep your deal."
