1.47 Turning The First Hybrid

He walked to me.

I sighed, annoyed "Why are you doing this?"

Nik smirked "Because i want to"

I looked at him and shook my head "He doesn't want me, Nik. His heart is still stuck with the doppelgänger"

Nik "You're a doppelgänger, love. "

I rolled my eyes. 

Nik "So tell me which one? Katerina? No. Elena? She's dead. You? You're here"

Me "If he finds out the reason i gave you the moon stone-"

Nik "Don't worry, love, i wouldn't do anything that would come in between you two. I like seeing you two together."

I warned "Nik"

Nik smiled "I'll keep my mouth shut, love"

I nodded "Good"

Then I grabbed the glass with the wolfsbane and walked to Ray. His eyes widened.

Ray "wh-What-"

I grabbed his jaw and opened his mouth. I poured the drink down his throat and held the mouth shut. He had no choice but the drink. 

His head went limp.

I heard Nik chuckle behind me. 

Me "don't worry, Nik. He just passed out"

Nik had put Ray on a pool table. Stefan wasn't back yet and it's been hours since he left.

Nik "Okay, it's a three step process, Ray. This is step one. I want you to drink from my wrist."

Ray " I already told you where to find the pack. What more do you want from me?"

Nik "Have you been listening to a word I've been saying, Ray? I have great plans for you."

I was sitting on a table watching them.

He cut his wrist and made him drink his blood.

Nik cheered  "You'll thank me for it later, huh. There we go, attaboy!"

Stefan walked inside. 

I looked at him.

Ray " What are you going to do now?"

Nik "It's time for step two, Ray."

He twisted his neck, killing him and looked at Stefan.

 Stefan looked unemotionally.

Nik said surprised "You're back."

Stefan gave me a side glance, speaking to Nik"Did you doubt me?"

Nik shook his head " Not for a second. I knew you'd pass the test. You still care for your brother, for your old life but you care for her a bit more. "

Stefan shook his head " Nah, I don't care about anything anymore."

Nik chuckled "You put on a good show Stefan. I almost believe you. Let's hope, for your brother's sake, he does. You never stop caring about family, do you? But, every time you feed, the blood makes it easier to let go."

I sighed.

I walked out of the bar and called Damon.

Damon answered "Hello?"

Me "Hey, D."

Damon "Adelaide?! Are you okay? Where the hell are you? I'm going mad over here"

I smiled "Nice to hear your voice too."

Damon "how are you?"

Me "Good. And how are you?"

Damon "Good. It was risky sending Katherine though"

Me "She knew i would hunt her down if she didn't bring it to you"

Damon "about that, You shouldn't have done what you did"

I asked confused "and let you die? I had no choice, Damon."

Damon "Where are you?"

Me "Can't tell you that. But i think you already have an idea since you've been hanging on our asses all summer long"

Damon "not that i'm complaining but why are you calling?"

Me "To tell you to stop looking for us"

Damon "Not happening"

Me "Nik will kill you if you don't stop."

Damon "I can live with that"

Me "I'm not kidding, Damon, promise me you will stop"

Damon "Don't worry, Stefan made it clear to stop looking"

I raised an eyebrow confused "what are you talking about?"

Damon "Ask him yourself. Love you. Bye"

He hung up.

I heard someone behind me. I turned around and saw Stefan there.

Me "What was Damon talking about?"

Stefan "You called him?"

Me "Don't avoid the question, Stefan"

Stefan looked down.

Me "What did you do?"

Stefan looked at me "I had to make a point"

I raised an eyebrow "Stefan?"

Stefan "i killed Andie "

My jaw dropped and i took a step back "you killed your brother's girlfriend? Have you lost your mind?"

He just looked at me. 

Me "Stefan!?"

Stefan "i don't care, Adelaide, i don't"

I took a step closer and scoffed  "i don't believe you, Stefan. "

Stefan asked confused "why are you doing this?"

Me "Because i'm trying to keep you you. I'm keeping you from turning into a ripper"

Stefan shook his head  " I don't care what happens to me"

Me "Then why did you come back?  why didn't you just stay with your brother? hm? Because Nik is such a good friend? no. You didn't want to leave me behind, with him"

Stefan "you don't know what you're talking about"

He turned around to walk inside.

Me "We both know you can't fool me, Stefan "

He stopped for a moment but then walked inside.
