1.89 Close To Death

Night.

I groaned and woke up. I looked around and was in a barn. I coughed and sat up. I was in a cell . Bekah was in the cell in front of me. Someone was next to me but there was a wall blocking me to see who it was.

Bekah looked at me surprised "i thought you had left with Elijah"

Suddenly i heard Stefan "Adelaide? Adelaide. are you there?"

I smiled weakly "yeah, i'm here"

Then i coughed again.

Stefan "i thought had you left town"

I shook my head "i couldn't. I needed to see you one last time "

Rebekah "so you didn't get the cure?"

I snapped "Rebekah"

Stefan asked confused  "What cure? what is she talking about, Adelaide?"

Me "nothing, Stefan, i am fine"

Rebekah "she's poisoned with werewolf venom"

I snapped "Rebekah!"

Stefan asked shocked "what? Adelaide, what is she talking about?"

Me "The alcohol at home was poisoned "

Stefan asked shocked  "what?"

Me "I had a drink before i came to Elena's. Turned out the alcohol was poisoned"

Stefan "Adelaide, no, please, tell me that's not true"

I nodded and coughed out "I'm gonna die, Stefan, within the night"

Rebekah "i was going to give you the cure. But i got held back"

I sat up, confused "What are you talking about?"

Rebekah "i got your message in time, Adelaide. Nik's blood. I had a vial with it on me but they must have taken it away when they brought me here"

Me "My problem is that i'm locked in!"

Rebekah "Well, Elena's here too and she's gonna die within the night as well"

Me "oh my goodness"

Bekah " Just ignore her."

I started to cough. put a hand over my mouth.

 I felt a liquid on it. It was blood. 

Rebekah "you're running out of time. You're coughing blood"

Suddenly i heard Stefan yell "Hey! Anyone, hey!"

Rebekah hissed " Will you shut up?!"

Stefan shouted "You think we're afraid of you?"

An officer opened the barn door and walked up to Stefan's cell.

Officer snapped "You want more vervain? Keep it down."

Stefan "Listen to me. Adelaide's gonna die if you don't let her out of here."

Officer "Sorry, not my problem."

Stefan " they're innocent. Let them out."

The officer began to walk away. 

Stefan rushed towards the other side of the cell and yelled  "Let her out!"

A shot fell.

something dropped to the ground. 

I asked worried "Stefan?"

Stefan "Let her out!"

He got back up and rushed back to the bars and yelled " " I said, let her out!"
