1.57 Bonfire

Outside.

I was leaning against a tree with a beer in my hand. I watched Rebekah and Stefan together. Elena joined them. she was failing on acting. ugh.

Damon walked to me.

 I took a sip of my beer.

Damon "and?"

I shook my head. 

He sighed.

Students were holding up a guy by his legs, so he could do a keg stand. Everyone chanted "drink".

I smiled at how ridiculous they were. My smile faded when i noticed Stefan looking at me from across the place. He was leaning against a tree with a cup in his hand. I raised my cup and drank. Stefan did the same.

I was walking through the bonfire when i got a text from Damon.

Barbie Klaus didn't play along.

please, tell me you got another plan.

To: D.<3

How about we piss him off. 

If he wants to leave he will 

have no choice but to take her with him. 

you in?.

sure.

I took another sip of my beer and leaned against a tree. I felt an arm around my waist. I turned around and saw Damon. I had my back against the tree.

I giggled "how drunk are you?"

Damon "i don't have to be drunk to make a move on a pretty girl"

Me "I'm 500 years older than you, D."

Damon smirked "I know"

I laughed and put my arms around his neck.

Damon whispered in my ear "so how about you and i leave this place?"

Me "oh really?"

Damon "my place is free tonight"

I laughed at his fake fail attempt to flirt.

Damon fake sighed "a bad one, wasn't it?"

I nodded "you have no idea"

I could feel eyes on us and  smirked. Damon smirked too realizing who was watching us.

Stefan "What's that look?"

Elena sighed "What look?"

Stefan "My brother's got his flirt on, and you're jealous."

Elena " I'm not jealous."

Stefan " It's all right. Be jealous by all means. I'm sure Damon will be thrilled."

Elena " I'm not jealous, Stefan."

Stefan "All right. That's my mistake."

Elena "Whatever. I'm out of here".

I heard her leave but Stefan stayed there.

Me "you think you can talk barbie Klaus into some fun?"

Damon shook his head, amused  "not after what happened. I pissed her off"

Me "Then we'll have to do it without her"

I heard Stefan scoff and leave.

I started to laugh "oh my god"

Damon nodded, impressed "well played"

I looked at him "thank you"

Damon "now that he's had enough he's probably going to get Elena"

I nodded "exactly what we wanted"

I walked to Ric's car and saw him putting Stefan into the trunk.

Me "It worked"

Elena "good idea with pissing him off"

I nodded "thanks. you should go before he wakes up"

Elena nodded and got into the passenger seat.

Suddenly i saw a trail of flames making it's way to the car.

I yelled "Elena, get out of the car, now!"

They couldn't open the door. I walked to Elena's door and tried to open it but it didn't work. I tried to kick in the window but nothing.

Elena yelled "open the door!"

Me "I'm trying!"

I looked at Ric "i can't kick in the window"

Ric nodded and went to search for something.

He ran to me with a lacrosse stick. He hit the window with it over and over again but nothing broke.

The fire suddenly got worse.

Ric pulled me back.

I screamed "Stefan! Stefan, wake up!"

I grabbed the stick from Ric and hit the trunk window over and over again.

Me "Stefan!"

Ric pulled me back "you'll die"

Me "and so will they"

Suddenly the trunk door got kicked open.

Ric moved first and helped Elena out " Hurry up before it blows!"

I grabbed Stefan and helped him out. I speeded him away from the car. Elena and Ric ran to me.

The car suddenly exploded.

He looked at Ric and he at me.

At Home.

I was on my way to my room when Stefan stopped me.

Stefan "Adelaide"

I turned to him "mhm?"

Stefan "You surprised me tonight. Definitely wasn't expecting that."

I raised an eyebrow "What exactly?"

Stefan "You and Damon ?"

I raised an eyebrow surprised "are we jealous, Mr. Salvatore?"

Stefan shook his head "Just surprised. I mean after what happened in Chicago, didn't expect you to move on so quickly"

I crossed my arms over my chest "you telling me about moving on while you're the one with no emotions. "

Stefan looked down. 

Me "good night, Stefan"

I turned around to leave but he stopped me again.

Stefan "You could have let me die in that fire tonight. Why didn't you?"

I turned to him "you know why"

Stefan " After everything I've done..."

i asked kinda amused "You think i care? i don't, Stefan. And honestly, i wasn't pretty fond of the plan tonight either."

Stefan "still you played along"

Me "I was just testing a theory"

Stefan nodded.

Me "The next time you talk to Nik you better tell him i don't need a babysitter."
