Virgo POV:
I had just woken up and was laying in my bed when I head a knock on the door. "Princess Virgo, your mother and father request your presence at the dining table in 15 minutes." called my favorite maid. "Ok, thanks for letting me know!" I called back.
I hopped out of bed and walked into my closet. I looked at all the dresses in my closet. I never was one for extremely extravagant dresses, for I believed that simple was elegant. But since my presence was requested from my parents, I decided that I should where something a little more over the top.
I picked out a shin length blue and silver dress, it had a couple of bows and some lace detailing. I paired the dress with black ankle boots and then I brushed my curly black hair to one side.
I opened my door and walked into the dining room. I sat down, greeted my parents before I ate breakfast in silence with my mother and father.
When we finished, my parents asked me to walk to come with them to the throne room. I followed them in. My mother and father sat on their thrones and then a young man about my age, 17, walked in.
"Virgo, darling. This is Prince Taurus of one of the neighboring kingdoms. You are now betrothed to him in the agreement of creating a better relationship between the two kingdoms." said my mother.
"I am betrothed to him?" I asked in a quiet voice, "Yes." my father stated bluntly.
So they didn't even ask my opinion on this marriage agreement and then they betroth me to some stranger just to improve relations? I thought. Now that was completely unfair and selfish.
" Virgo." my father voice snapped me out of my thoughts, I looked up at him. He had an eyebrow raised, "Father, may I please be excused, I need to clear my thoughts..." I said. Both my parents nodded and I sprinted out of the throne room to the stables.
I entered the stables and found my favorite horse, Celine. I grabbed my bow that my best friend, Princess Sagittarius had given me for my 13th birthday.
I jumped on to my horse and we rode off I to the forest. I took out an arrow and aimed for a tree as I was still moving on Celine. I let go of the arrow and it hit the tree perfectly. I grinned, just then I heard a sound of another horse.
I stopped Celine and we headed towards the area where the sound hand came from. I slung my bow on my back as we continued.
I saw the prince from before, Prince Taurus. "Oh hello, princess Virgo." he said. I just glared back, "let me guess" Taurus said " your parents didn't inform you of or ask you opinion about the marriage?" I nodded.
" I see, the same happened to me as well." Taurus said calmly as he pulled out 3 daggers.
Then Taurus stood in a throwing stance 15 feet away from a tree trunk, he tossed the fist dagger and it the tree dead in the center.
I raised my eyebrows, impressed. Then I took my bow off my back and knocked an arrow. I was standing at least 35 feet from the tree, I let the arrow fly and it hit the tree right in the middle.
" Nice shot!" exclaimed Taurus as he threw the other two dagger at the tree. They hit the center, again.
"So do you want to get to know each other before the marriage?" asked Taurus as he walked over to the tree to pull out his daggers. "Yes" I said calmly.
"Ok let's play 21 questions. I'll go first, what's your favorite color?" asked Taurus. "Green, my second fave is blue, you?" answered Virgo. "Same" said Taurus.
"What's your favorite thing to do?" asked Virgo. "My favorite thing to do is probably just riding my horse to clear my head." Taurus answered. Interesting, I thought as we continued.
"What's your least favorite thing about being a princess?"
"The way everyone treats me like I can't make a decision or do something by myself."
"What is your greatest fear?"
"Losing the ones that I love most."
We continued to play until it was noon. "We should probably head back for lunch." Taurus said.
I nodded, after talking with Taurus I had finally cleared my head. We had a lot in common and he was a very sweet guy, maybe this marriage wouldn't be so bad I thought, blushing a tiny bit.
We went back to the palace for lunch and ate lunch together. When we finished, I grabbed Taurus's arm and dragged upstairs to my room.
"This is my room," I said. "I like the simple white walls and the one green accent wall." complimented Taurus with a wide smile.
Wow, that smile is gorgeous. And the way his green eye lit up made him so handsome, not to mention his kind personally, I thought. Wait was I falling for him? I asked myself while blushing.
I sat down in my bed next to Taurus, "So what do you think of the marriage agreement now?" asked Taurus.
"Uh.... well, I guess the marriage won't be so bad, because I like you a lot" I thought. Just then Taurus kissed me passionately, I was shocked at fist but the melted into his kiss.
When we parted, I looked at Taurus confused. The he said, "That's my way of showing you that I like you back." he said. Then I felt my face heat up, "what did I say that other thing out loud?!" I yelped. "I-I di-didn't mean-" I started before Taurus pulled me into another kiss. Well, that was an effective way to shut me up.
When we finished kissing, I put my head on Taurus's chest and we laid down in my bed together. "I love you Taurus.." I mumbled as I drifted to sleep.
The last thing I remembered before I was fast asleep was something warm pecking my check.
