Jack's P.O.V
My eyes never left as we danced. I knew everyone was watching us but I swear everytime I look at her its like there is no one else in the whole world. She giggled and whispered in my ear "Penny for your thoughts?" With one raised eyebrow. I chuckled and said "You, how lucky I am to be married to you".
Her smile widens and all she says is "I love you, so much, Gilinsky". "I love you more, Gilinsky" I smirk. Thats right. Ella Gilinsky. God damn that sounds good. The 'first married' dance ends and we welcome everyone else to dance. "I feel like a bad person just now talking you" Ella's aunt says as she shakes my hand. "It's okay, we've all been busy" I smile. "Um-" he aunt glances behind her to make sure Ella is still busy talking to my parents "do you know if Marice was invited?" She asks me in a hushed tone. "Oh uh- no, she wasn't invited" I look down and then back up to see a look of relief on her face. "Good, good" She nods and smiles. "I'll see you later" She walks off.
"Jack, I want you to meet my cousins; Alina, Owen, and Jeramiah." She motions to two boys and a girl standing next to her. "Hi" I smile and shake the guys hands but Alina just squints at me. "If you ever hurt her I'll kill you. Shes my sister" She says. Both the guys scoff. "Shes more protective of her than us" Owen laughs and points to his brother. You could easily tell they were all related by how certain features and their personalities. Alina was probably a little taller than Ella, had short dark hair, brown eyes, and a petite frame. Jeramiah was tall- taller than me by a few inches, a bit lighter skinned then Ella and Alina, almost black hair that was almost curly, and was muscular. Owen was probably the least tan, he was about my height, had light brown hair, and green eyes.
Ella and I talked to them for awhile. I understood why she loved them so much and I could tell she missed seeing them. Owen lived in Arizona where he worked as a engineer. Jeramiah was in college at Santa Cruz State University, since it wasn't far from where Ella's aunt lived. Alina lived in New York. She was trying to become a designer. I liked hearing all their stories from when they were kids.
"I remember when I first moved in Alina was still dating- what was his name.. Zack! Zack was a douche, right. So they were hanging out one day and Jeramiah and I though hm lets prank them, so we put on ski mask and pretended to be breaking in. Zack jumps up, throws Alina forward; completely sacrificing her, yelling 'Don't hurt me, I need my face to be an actor' and I couldn't stop laughing for days" Ella chuckled through the whole story. "Guys! My date is here, late, but here" Owen smiled at his phone. "I'm gonna go get her from outside. Be right back" He smiled.
"A date?" Ella laughed as he walked out "This should be funny" she sighed and took a sip of her drink. "Why?" I ask. They all glance between eachother. "He doesn't have a very good past in women. All snobby and bitchy. But hot" Jeramiah tells me. Alina hits his arms. "Ow!" He whines. "What's her story?" Ella asks. "He's been talking to her for a few weeks, she lives in San Diego or something. I think her names-" Alina recites what she knows but stops when Owen heads toward us, followed by-
"Guys this is my date, Vanessa" Owen smiles happily. Her eyes lock with mine and I swear I almost shit myself. It was her, Vanessa, Owen's literal cousin. Ella nearly spits out her drink. I know she sees the resemblence between Marice and Vanessa. Its obvious. Her eyes widely turn to me. "Vanessa, this is my cousin Ella, and her husband Jack" Owen adds. "Nice to meet you" She glances from me to Ella as we literally choke. I can't help but cough awkwardly. Ella starts laughing, Laughing hard. Alina and Jeramiah look at us like were crazy. "This is- is funny and uh" I laugh a little. "Vanessa- question, did you know or realize that-" I clear my throat. "He's- he's your cousin" Ella says in between laughs. Alina's eyebrows shoot up. "Wait she's-" She turns to Ella.
