Chapter 18

Ella's P.O.V

I wake up to Jack obnoxiously singing happy birthday and laugh. "It's your birthday!! Get excited" He jumped on the bed, and onto me. "Wanna get your first present?" He raises an eyebrow as he hovers over me. "And what would that be?" I say, acting dumb. He just smirks and lifts the cover up. He slides my underwear down and glances up at me. "Happ birthday baby" He says before he eats me out. I squirm as he does, forcing him to grip my thighs to hold me still. "Fuck Jack" I moan. I grab onto the pillow, knowing what's about to happen. He continues, rougher, making me moan more. I arch my back and release, then and there. 

"God damn Gilinsky" I relax as he crawls back up. "You taste good" He says casually. I literally choke and start laughing uncontrolablly. "I tell no lies" He throws his hands up in defense. "Now get your fine ass up and get ready, we have places to be" He smiles and walks down stairs. The big 21. "Where are we going?" I yell down the staircase. "Dress cute" He yells back and I roll my eyes as I laugh. I slide on a tight  dark green skirt, a white off the shoulder top, and white heels. I did my everyday makeup and threw my hair into a messy bun. 

"I'm ready" I sang as I came down the stairs. "Well fuck" Jack met me at the last step. I chuckled and did a little spin. "That's my fiance" He grabbed my hand and interlocked our hands. "I love how you're still not as tall as me with heels on" Jack laughs as he opens the car door for me. "I'm short I know" I hit his arm lightly. He just smiles and kisses me sweetly. "I love you" I look him in the eyes. "I love you too babygirl" He smiles and closes the door after me, getting in the drivers side. 

I plug in my phone to the aux and baby by justin bieber starts playing. "Oh man, my fuckin song" I laugh. Jack glances at me and laughs too. I set my head on my hand, which is positioned on the glove box so I'm staring right at Jack. I sing dramatically as he drives and I know he's trying to not laugh. "Babyyyyy baby baby" I yell and he cracks, laughing hard.

We pull up to the same gates that Jack had me go to for breakfast before our trip. It kinda held a special place in my heart. "Let's eat" He smiles and jumps out. We follow the path to a big table, where Tasha, Nate, Aaliyah, her boyfriend, Gabriel, Johnson, Ceilia, and Sam all sit. "Happy birthday bitch" Aaliyah yells and they all get up. I smile so hard my cheeks hurt. "Thanks" I laugh. Aaliyah hugs me followed by Ceilia and Johnson and everyone else. "Happy birfday Ella" Alex wraps his little arms around my legs and I pick him up. "Thanks Alex" I squeeze him quickly before Sammy comes up. 

"Happy 21 Ell" He smiles and grabs a little wrapped square and hands it to me. I could feel Jack watching closely. I look up at him confused but open it. It's a picture frame with three pictures. One was of the whole group in Cabo, a picture of Sammy and I in the club, a picture from my 20th birthday, and a selfie from the day before we broke up. I know he didn't think of them as those days but I did. I felt my eyes water and I hugged him. "Thanks Sam, I love it". Jack cleared his throat and I wiped my eyes gently. "Let's eat!" Nate yells and sits back down. 

We ate and talked for awhile, all just enjoying everything. "What're we doing tonight?" I asked Jack. "You'll see" He winked. "I hate you Gilinsky" I groan. He just smiles. "But I can tell you were doing something this afternoon that you've always wanted to do" Jack shoved one last piece of waffle in his mouth. "That's not specific at all" I throw my hands up in frustration. Everyone laughs. "I'll fight all of you" I squint around the table. "Alex will beat your ass" Nate says back and I smile. "Yeah!" Alex adds. 

We leave around 10:30 to this next mystery spot. We drove for awhile before Jack pulls over and tells me to put on a blind fold. "Jackkkk" I complain but comply. We drive for a few more minutes, I think, and then pull to a stop. "Can I take it off?" I ask. "You're clothes? Eh might not be appropriate" He chuckles and gets out, opening my door. He takes my hand and leads me into a building. "Okay annnddd" Jack opens a door and leads me in. "And now!" He says happily. I pull off the blind fold to a room full of puppies. "I want all of them" I coo as I get down to ground level and they all run over. Jack smiles and sits down, a few pile into his lap. 

"This is the best day of my life" I cry out and Jack laughs, falling to the ground with puppies all around him. I quickly take a picture and post it on my snap. "Look at this one, oh my god" I hold up a small lab and Jack aws' at it. "We're gonna get a puppy when were married okay" I look back at him. "I like hearing that" He leans in and kisses me. "Hearing what? When we're married?" I pull back after a second. "Yeah, it reminds me that I'm marrying the cutest fucking girl ever" Jack mumbles and kisses me once again

"I'm so lucky" I smile and go back to the puppy. "Yeah you are, I'm such a catch" He runs his hand through his hair conceitedly. I roll my eyes. About an hour later Jack says "Okay, let's go". "Where exactly?" I stand up, brushing myself off. "Lunch" He interlocks our hands and I follow him out the back door. We make our way up a little hill, where a blanket and bag of food sat. "You just get more and more romantic don't you" I squish his face and sit down. 

"And, since it's legal now-" Jack pulls out a bottle of champagne and I laugh. He pours our glasses and we eat our Chipotle. "I feel bad for asking this, but you don't have any siblings do you?" Jack asks. "One, never met her though. We were close in age but my parents sent her to live in some weird like cult thing. My mom did it, not my dad. They thought she'd be like an angel because of it. Everyone told me she was just like my mom so I never bothered. She lived here for awhile, I know that much" I tell him. I never eally liked talking about my family, let alone my 'sister'. My mom's family was into weird scientology like shit but after my mom sent off my older sister my dad made sure to protect me from that.

"Hey, I'm surprised these haven't been eaten by animals" I say referring to our food. "Oh, I had J come out here and drop it all off about 5 minutes ago" He says. "You're too good at this" I chuckle. "Well I have to make up for lost birthdays" He says. I nod and don't say anything. "What did you do those birthdays?" He asked, taking a bite. I took a gulp of champagne and said "My 19th Sammy and I just had everyone over and drank, swam and stuff. My 20th Sam, Nate, Tasha, and I went out to this nice dinner and then went to this place that is made to simulate like a snow ball fight. So it's covered in fake snow and we had a couples snow ball fight in our nice ass clothes" I laugh thinking about it. 

"Wish I had been there" He smiles. "Yeah, it was fun" I take a bite. "I'm kinda glad everythings happened the way it has" I swirl my drink. "I just wish I would've.. you know, done things right the first time" Jack bites his lip. "Well, hey, at least we have an intresting story" I smile. He nods but doesn't smile. "Hey, baby" I set my glass down and climb over, onto Jack lap. "Yes?" He says. "Don't beat yourself up about it" I whisper. "I just can't stop thinking about all the things I've done to you" He sighed. "And look at us now, we're getting married, and were gonna have cute babies" I move closer, our foreheads touching. "They are gonna be really pretty kids" He smiles a little and I kiss him. 

"What names do you like for a girl?" I ask, staying on his lap. "I like.. Olivia" He says. "Hm, I like Olivia too" I agree. "What about a boy?" He asks. "I always liked Andrew" I sit down right nex to him. "I like that. Or Erik" He nods. We sat there, talking about random things, the wedding and puppies. "God I can't wait to be with you forever" Jack said, looking down at me. I smile. "Me too" I sit up a little. "Are you nervous? You know, cause this is it?" I look at him, hard. "You say this like a bad thing?" He squints at me. 

"No, it's not." I shake my head. "I'm not nervous. THIS, this is all I ever wanted. I'm so excited to marry you and know with all my heart it is what I want" He smiles. "I agree completely" I smile a little. "Now, my dear, it's about time we get off to your next surprise" He gets up and extends his hand to me. "Thank you, kind sir" I laugh and we link arms, skipping down the hill, laughing like maniacs.
