Ella's P.O.V

Filming was finally over, thankfully. Everything has been awkward and stiff between Jack and I. I feel like he has had some doubts and I have too. "Hey Ell.." He half smiled as he walked into the guest room that I had moved myself into. "Hi" I bluntly replied, not looking up from my screen. "I was thinking maybe we should go on a little vacation, as a couple" He said as he sat at the foor of my bed. As a couple? We've barely talked the last two months and now we need a vacation? "Really? I was just thinking I could use a vacation-"

"Great! Start packing for-" Jack said happily. "You didn't let me finish Jack. I could use a vacation from being a couple" I huffed. His face dropped and his eyebrows scrunched together "What? Why? I can change whatever you want I p-" My heart sunk as he rambled. "I don't want to hold you down if you don't want to be" I whisper. I've seen how close hes gotten with Vanessa, of course I have. And it hurts that he doesn't realize that it bothers me. They're constantly texting and I notice how he smiles a little at her messages. I was tired of relationships, tired of Jack. "Ell- baby, I want to be with you!" He exclaimed as he moved closer. I clicked my phone off and looked up at him.

I made a loud sigh before saying "I don't want to be heartbroken again, Jack. And that's what I expect from you" I fidget with my hands. His eyes go blank. I'm usually good at reading his expression but it's like all feeling was drained from him. "I'll make you a deal" He says eventually. "Let me take you on this vacation and try to gain your trust back, if you still feel the same when we get back I'll let you be" He says. I bite my lip as I think. "Deal" I say and he smiles, hugging me. I hesitate at first before wrapping my arms around him. "Where are we going?" I pull away slowly. "Don't worry I'll pack for you, all I need is for you to wake up at 8 on Friday morning" He says. I nod and open my phone again. "Oh!" I look up before he leaves "How long will it be? We do have interviews and photoshoots." I say. "Just a week, don't worry about those either" He smirks and shuts the door.

Friday Morning

I wake up at 8:14 to a note on my phone that reads 'to the best week of your life, the uber will be here soon. don't worry about your luggage, i got it' I smile at the fact he took the time to write a note instead of just texting me or something.I throw on a brown tank top and dark wash jeans. I finish my light makeup and slide on my white nikes. I'm out of the house and getting in an uber by 8:30. The uber driver (fuck uber and trump) handed me a bouquet of roses as I got in. Jack really is doing the most. The roses had a note that said 'hope you're hungry'. The uber driver tapped on the cup holder where a coffee with my name on it sat. I took a sip and smiled.

We drove for awhile until the driver pulled up to the gates of a beautiful garden. There was a note on the gate that said 'open deez gates like you opened the gates to my heart' and I chuckled. I pushed the gates opened and followed the path until I reached a white table where Jack stood. The table was covered in all my favorite breakfast foods. "Hungry?" Jack smiled his award-winning grin. He really has been trying the last few days. Maybe he has changed. I nod "Starving" I smile. He pulls my seat out and I laugh. He sits down and we start eating. "Hey, when does our flight leave by the way?" I mumble through a mouthful of waffles. He laughs and says "11, we'll leave here around 10:30 though" He takes a sip of orange juice.

I nod and continue eating. When 10:30 does roll around Jack opens the door for me and I jump in, holding my roses. "I don't want them to die" I grumble looking at the flowers. "When Johnson gets my car I'll have him spray that shit that makes things last" Jack replies as we drive toward the airport. "I'm sorry" I sigh. His eyebrows meet and he glances over "For what?". I fumble with a rose. "I know we haven't been on great terms during filming but I still care about you" I shrug. He smiles. "I'm sorry too princess, does this mean you've already changed your mind?" He puts a hand on my thigh and I tense up. "No, not exactly" I shake my head lightly.

He nods in understandment and we pull into a space in the parking lot. He grabs our bags out and I take some from him. "Hey! I was carrying those!" He pouts. "And you were gonna drop em" I laugh and sling my backpack over my shoulder and hold his duffle bag. By the time we get on the plane I realize that Jack hasn't even glanced at another girl. I smile when I think about it. "Whatcha smiling about?" He asks as I sit in the window seat, him right next to me. "You- you haven't looked at any other girls since we got here." I hesitate to say not knowing his reaction.

He smiles and says "Why would I want to look at anyone else when you're around?" He kissed my forehead and interlocked our hands. He made me put earbuds in while blasting music while the pilot talked since he'd say something about where were going. When the flight attendent tried to make me take them out to listen to safety precautions, Jack explained the situation and that I know all the precautions. She let out a huff at his presistence and walked on, Jack shoving the earbuds back into my head. Finally the intercom silenced and I took them out. "You look amazing by the way" He whispered to me. "Kiss ass" I whispered back and he chuckled.

The first few hours I stayed awake, thinking we'd land anytime. But after hour 7 I finally caved and fell asleep. I woke up awhile later on Jack's shoulder. "Mhh, how much longer" I yawned. "Two" He whispered and I realized almost everyone on the plane were dead asleep. I relaxed back into the seat and watched whatever movie Jack was watching on his laptop. About twelve minutes later I scooted past a tired Jack to the bathroom. I waited a moment before a tall man opened the door, bumping into me. "Ella?" I smile crawled onto his face. "David! Hi?" I remebered him as the guy I danced with at the club and really didn't expect to see him ever again. "What're you doing going to-" I stopped him. "My boyfriend still hasn't let me find out where this plane is going" I smile a bit. "Boyfriend? Oh, my bad. It was nice seeing you. Heres my number, text me when that ends" He winks and hands me a slip of paper with his number, like he was waiting to give it out.

I just slipped into the bathroom and then quickly back to my seat. Once again, hoping to never see him again. "What took so long" Jack mumbled as I settled against his shoulder. "Some guy was taking awhile" I pressed my hand on his knee and he lightly smirked. "We can go take awhile in the bathroom" He chuckled in my ear. I hit his chest and laughed. "I love you babygirl" He said and wrapped an arm around me. I didn't say it back, even if I wanted to. We landed at 8:22  AM and to say I was jet lagged was an understatement. "Tired, princess?" Jack asked and chuckled as we got a taxi. "Very" I groaned. "Well, we'll go get our rental car then go to the hotel and nap" He rubbed my lower back and I smiled.
