***THE AMAZONS AND THE MARAUDERS***

With horror movies, scary costumes, tasteful candies, terrifying stories and lugubrious decorations, Halloween is always a pleasure for Muggles. But for wizards, it's something else. Specially in Hogwarts, the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry of Britain.

The day was filled with classes, like every normal day. At dinner, there was a feast, with the most delicious food of all Europe, prepared passionnately by the house-elves. Desserts so extravagent and delicious that the students were all agape at how great the feast was.

But the real excitation was for the Halloween prank. It was a real battle since their fifth year. The Marauders were always pulling an amazing prank on that day, and the Amazons an even better one. All the students knew that when they would go to sleep, the pranksters would awake, and do something even more marvellous than the year before. And that's something nobody wanted to miss.

The teachers weren't watching the corridors, even thought they knew a prank would be pulled. Why? Well, the Hippogriff made sure to slip a small Sleeping Draught in their pumpkin juice, so they wouldn't be disturb. The only real threat was the other pranksters, that could bump into them.

But of course, the Amazons had nothing to worry about.

The Phoenix had made sure to steal a pretty important asset to the Marauders earlier that day, the Marauder's Map. It was a magic map the four boys created in their fifth year, to cause the more mischief possible withoutbeing disturbed. It was also a big hope to them. They thought it would be quite easy to catch their opponents with it. Unfortunately, they never noticed something unusual. The Amazons were always meeting in a place the Marauders couldn't see on their magical artefact.

The night fell, causing the sky to turn from clear blue to black ink, the trees creating shadows, the ghosts slowly floating around the castle. Around midnight, most students of Hogwarts were now sleeping. But the Amazons weren't. Neither did the Marauders.

The Amazons knew exactly what they had to do. They had to wait, until the trap the Marauders organized was settled, and after that, it was Showtime.

The four girls were preparing their costumes. What was Halloween without costumes?

The Veela was in her dormitory. She had casted Sleeping spells to her roommates, to be sure they wouldn't hear her. Theresa Greenburg was slowly putting on a from the years 1860, white long sleeves. The top was blue, and the skirt was silvery white. Theresa loved it; she loved ancient clothes. She found her dress, and the three others, in her attic a few years ago. She asked her mother to send them a few days ago, and she lent them to the other girls.

She also transfigured her so they were longer, pastel blue and curly at the bottom. She painted her lips in pink, and put on a , covering all her face, with blue details on it. The Queen of Ravenclaw looked dazzling, and was ready to leave an impression on the Marauders.

The Phoenix was doing the same thing, in her dormitory. She was putting the on. When her look was finished, she glanced at what she looked like in the mirror. Her pink was gorgeous, yet super uncomfortable; Sofia had to wear a corset. Her transfigured were pastel pink, and they were going to the half of her waist. Sofia Delcour stared at her eyes in the mirror. It was weird to realise that her usually brown eyes were now green.

The Hippogriff was still disgusted. Polyjuice potion never tasted great. The transformation was quite laborious; it was the first time Holland wasn't in her body. Holland had now Jane's chocolate skin, with her deep brown eyes. Holland turned the straight brown hair into a , and she was wearing a lime green . But the piece she liked the most was the white, green and gold, venitian .

The Pegasus was dancing around the room, having the time of her life, the purple fabric of her dress floating around her whenever she was turning. No one could hear her, it was her favorite holiday, and her disguise was perfect. An old, purple , pastel purple , a venitian her mother brought from her trip at Venise, with the three other masks. Elizabeth Drake was lucky, just like Theresa; they didn't have to drink Polyjuice, unlike Holland and Sofia, who respectively borrowed the bodies of Jane Shermen and Lily Evans. The Amazons knew it would make the Marauders confused as hell: Sirius Black being so close of Theresa, Remus Lupin of Elizabeth and James Potter was deeply in love with Lily Evans for years. But these four girls wouldn't be the only ones there that night.

They had all planned out perfectly.

James Potter was focused on his task more than he ever was on an exam. He couldn't fail this task; not only the Amazons would be humiliated, for once, but he would be the school's hero. And the Amazons would be punished horribly by the teachers, for all the pranks they organized throughout the years. And the seventeen years old boy could not wait.

Maybe they'd even get expelled, for all he knew. James Potter couldn't care less, his ego being crushed gazillions times since the existence of their little group.

Remus Lupin was reluctantly helping him, unsure about why he finally agreed with that plan. His friends would have probably kicked him out of the Marauders if he didn't help them, but still. To trap a human being into an invisible cage was quite cruel in his opinion. There was so many other ways to reveal the Amazon's identity. Yet James picked the most humiliating, the most cruel one.

Sirius Black was leaning against a wall, a lit cigarette stuck between his lips. His usual leather jacket made him look like a tough boy, his long, black hair pulled behing his ears. He was carefully watching his two best friends charm the space they planned to trap the Amazons in: a corridor, next to the Great Hall, where all the students could walk in front of the trapped pranksters. He knew it wasn't the better idea, but Sirius was still bitter about the last prank they pulled on him.

Peter Pettigrew was standing akwardly beside Sirius, trying to look as cool as his friend. But it wasn't working; if Sirius Black was an orange, Peter was a pineapple. They couldn't look alike, even if he tried his best. Peter was also a little bit scared; he had one task: it was to bring the Marauder's Map... And he couldn't find it anywhere. Peter had one job, and he didn't succeed in doing it. He knew that James would be quite frustrated, since it was such an important part of their plan.

What the Marauders didn't know, was that the Amazons were watching carefully, eyeing every detail of their actions. They weren't together; Sofia was hidden in the Great Hall, staring at them from behind the wall; Holland was in an adjacent corridor, analyzing their actions, hidden by the darkness of the castle; Theresa and Elizabeth were in an other corridor, but they had the Mist Mirror, so they could still see them. Theresa was focusing at the moment, trying to remember all she had to do; she had to succeed quite hard charms after; she had to make Obliviates charms.

The Marauders were soon done, and they entered the Great Hall. Sofia quickly hid herself under a table, and luckily for her, the boys were so focused by their trap they didn't notice her.

Everyone waited a few minutes, no one moving, no one speaking, no one breathing. Only the silence was filling the castle's walls.

Until Holland, with the help of her ring, sent the signal to her friends.

With a deep breath, Sofia got out from under the table, the sound of her heels clapping on the floor. She had her back facing the boys, walking away into a corridor. She he heard the gasps of the four boys before turning into an adjacent corridor, a light smile playing on her lips.

At the other entrance of the Great Hall, an Amazon ran past the door, causing the boys to turn once again. It was Holland, but the boys didn't know that. They only caught the glimpse of green fabric before it went away, the sound of the girl's heels still clearly echoing through the castle.

James and Sirius glanced at each other, stunned, and the both of them began to run towards the exit Sofia borrowed, while Remus and Peter ran after Holland. At least, tried to. Remus, with his tall legs, was running too quickly for Pettigrew's small legs, who soon couldn't keep up and fell right on his rat-like face. Holland turned into a corridor, trying to not laugh, and the two Marauders continued to follow them. But another sound froze them. High heels tapping on the floor, right behind them.

Remus quickly spun around, and saw girl dressed in purple. Another Amazon.

"Continue with the green one, I'll go after her," Remus announced, before turning around, chasing after the girl dressed in purple.

Apparently, the Marauders' plan was to run after them, to corner them at the cage... Once they would be inside, they wouldn't be able to get out.

Sirius and James were as confused, running into an other corridor. Once they were in the middle of it, they realised there was two girls; one at each end of the hall.

"Continue with this one, I'll go with the other!", James yelled, now running after Theresa.

The young girl waved her hand teasingly at him. That small move frustrated James Potter even more. He was now more ready than ever to trap them, and finally know their identity.

The day had finally come.

Even though the Amazons were costumed in heavy dresses and they had high heels on their feet, they were going faster than the Marauders. Why? They had casted a spell to make the boys run slower. The Amazons had thought of every single details, to be sure everything would go as planned.

And it was, of course.

The Amazons didn't know failure.

When a boy was loosing a girl, he was running towards the sound of heel clapping, hoing to find one again. For how long it happened like this, no one knows. For the boys, it felt like hours, and for the girls, it felt like seconds.

They stayed on the first floor the whole time, but Hogwarts was so huge, they never took twice the same corridor.

At a certain moment, the four girls met into the corridor with the trap settled in, all from different directions, trying to catch their breaths back. They exchanged glances full of mischief, the four of them smirking, under their masks.

They stopped to run right in front of the trap, and stayed there. The four boys came right behind them, breathless. They glanced at each other, unsure, and then back at the girls. They could only see their backs, with the transfigured hair, all falling to the middle of their backs..

James Potter was exhausted, but excited. He knew there was no exit for the four Amazons. When Remus told James about his doubts, about the group formed of girls only, he wasn't believing him at first. Potter always believed that the girls sucked at pranking. They couldn't keep poker faces, and they couldn't be subtle enough, always opening their mouths and talking when it wasn't the right time. But seeing these four girls, all lined up in front of the trap, showed him he was wrong, and his smart friend was indeed right.

The four boys walked closer behind them, all of them hungry with curiousity. They had to know who were these four girls. It was game over, finally; The Marauders were winning. Well, they thought they were. It was far from being over to the Amazons.

Three. Two. One. Now, Elizabeth said in the other girls head, talking with her magic ring.

The four girls turned at the same time, showing their masks to the boys. The Marauders stopped to breathe, for a moment, and they continued too come closer.

James smirked, rather proud.

"We won. You can't save," he said, almost singing.

The four girls smiled under their masks.

"You think?", Holland said, with Jane's voice.

"It's far to be over," Elizabeth added.

"We don't like rushing things," Sofia said.

"We like to see every single detail twice, to be sure we don't fall in your idiot traps", Theresa finished.

The Marauders were exchanging glances, clearly less confident about their prank, but then Sirius smiled. His white teeth were perfectly aligned, and he was as seductive as ever, his black hair framing his sculpted face. Theresa had to bring herself back to the instant moment. She couldn't be distracted by how awesome he looked.

"You're lying. We only have to take off your masks to know who you are. It's as easy as it is to fall asleep, right Prongs?"

"You're right, Pad," James grinned back.

He took off his wand, ready to catch the girls' masks with a simple Accio, when something he didn't expect happened. One of them had taken off her mask, revealing the smirking face of Elizabeth Drake.

It was like a punch in the guts for Remus Lupin.

(A/N: Okay, I have to tell thisXD Before I wrote 'punch' in the sentence above, I had written 'punk' hahahahahahaha and found it so funny I didn't change it in like three weeks)

"E- Ellie?", he stammered.

"You really think it's that easy?", Elizabeth said, smirking. "Are you sure it's really me? Am I the Hippogriff? Or is it another of my tricks?"

"Or am I the Hippogriff?" Theresa added, taking off her mask, her smirk as wide as Ellie's. "The Phoenix? Is Theresa Greenburg an Amazon, or a victim of our prank?"

It was Sirius' turn to feel betrayed, even thought he realised Theresa probably wasn't an Amazon. That one of them stole one of her hair, and added it to a Polyjuice Potion. Probably the same with Elizabeth Drake.

At least, he hoped so, his stomach twisting. One glance at his werewolf friend, and he could tell he was feeling the same.

"Am I the Veela?", Holland said, taking off her mask, showing Jane's face.

"Or am I?", Sofia smirked, revealing her face.

Well, the face she was wearing at the moment.

James' eyes became as round as plates.

"Evans?"

"It's not Lily, James," Remus said clearly, his mind racing. "It's Polyjuice Potion. They knew about our trap. We're the ones being fooled once again, they would never reveal their identity like this! They're making fun of us."

"Are we, really?" a girl voice behind them said.

They spun around, jumping, to see Blair Stewart, a yellow mask in her hands, dressed in a yellow, old dress.

"Are they The Amazons? Or are we?", Courtney Davidoff, turned into Marlene McKinnon with the Polyjuice Potion, smirked behind them.

The Marauders began to walk backwards, and the real Amazons stepped aside, letting the four, confused, stunned Marauders walking farther behind. They were too dumbfounded to even realise where they were going.

The four boys didn't even think they were walking right into their own trap.

Once they stepped into the invisible cage, the six girls stayed side to side, staring at them with amusement in their eyes. They thought they could catch their identity?

They were wrong.

"Looks like the idiots are now stuck," Theresa laughed, with a crystalline laughter.

James Potter and Remus Lupin exchanged a desesperate glance, finally realising where they were, and began to hit the invisible wall, trying to get out. But nothing was working. Remus and James settled the trap carefully so they couldn't escape before 10:00 in the morning the day after, when everybody would have see them. They never thought they'd be the ones into the invisible cage.

They were indeed stuck in their own trap. And they could do nothing about it.

"That's what happens when someone tries to discover who we are," the six girls said in unison, without emotion, walking backwards, fading into shadows, leaving the boys alone.

They entered the Great Hall, and the six girls high fived together. Blair an Courtney were talking about how amazing it was with Holland, who told them everything the day before, so they would help.

Holland, who was beginning to turn back into her old self, locked her eyes with Theresa's gray ones, and nodded. Theresa took off her wand, and aimed it at the Slytherin girls, who now seemed confused.

"Greenburg?" Blair asked, her black eyebrows furrowed together.

"We're sorry, but we can't have anyone knowing who we are, "she apologized quickly. "Nothing to do with you, but we can't take that chance."

"Obliviate", The Veela casted at the two girls, taking away all their memories from the night.

The frown on Courtney and Blair's face soon faded away. They now both had dreamy eyes, lost in their thoughts.

"Bring them in your room," Theresa said to Holland. "And put them in their bed. They won't remember anything."

Holland nodded.

"I'll help you," Elizabeth said, taking Blair's arm.

Four of the six girls left, and Theresa and Sofia turned to face each other.

"It was amazing," Sofia said, hugging Theresa.

"Yes, it was," The Veela grinned. "But there's something else I have to do. An Halloween prank isn't an Halloween prank if the victims aren't disguised, don't you think?"

Sofia smirked and followed Theresa out of the room, but far enough so the boys wouldn't see them.

Both girls took off their wands, and began to change the boys' clothes, who were groaning everytime a piece of clothes was changing. Then Theresa wrote a message on the wall, and the two girls left the crime scene shaken with laughter.

On the day after, Everyone in Hogwarts found James Potter, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew asleep on the floor, dressed as fairies. Above them, in vibrant pink letters, was the warning no one forgot:

YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHO WE REALLY ARE

WANT TO TRY?

GO AHEAD, BUT NOW YOU KNOW

NO ONE WHO MESSES WITH US IS UNPUNISHED

AND WE CAN DO WAY WORSE THAN CHANGE YOU CLOTHES INTO COSTUMES
