"Remus is still disgusted by alcohol", Elizabeth laughed, her red hair framing her pale face as an inflamed halo.
"I get why; he becomes pretty surprising when he has too much to drink", Sofia grinned wildly. "I mean, he tried to sing opera on the bar."
"And when he realised it was a bad idea, he tried dancing", Theresa remembered, scrunching up her nose in amusement. "He looked more like a boiling spaghetti than anything else."
"I know!" Lizzy exclaimed, hiding her face in her hands, ashamed by everything her friend had done three days before. "But I think my favourite part was when he began to look for his wand everywhere in the room, accusing random people of stealing it. It was hilarious!"
"Did he find it, after all?" the blonde girl demanded.
"Yes he did; it was in his hand the whole time!", Elizabeth said, choking on her laughter.
The three girls laughed loudly. Remus Lupin was a boy the three of them liked, as much for the quiet side he had as the wild he had when he had the misfortune of drinking a glass too much.
"I wonder where Holland is", Sofia said after their giggles vanished. "She was supposed to be here half an hour ago."
"I have no idea either", Theresa announced, glancing at her blue ring. "Should we remind her we had a meeting?"
"No need to", Elizabeth answered, watching the door.
Indeed, the doorknob was slowly turning on itself. The big door revealed a breathless Holland, her hair so messy it almost seemed like a squirrel lived in it. She smiled apologetically to the other girls and joined them on the small couch near the fireplace. Theresa noticed that her Slytherin tie was nowhere to be seen and her shirt buttons weren't done properly.
"Where were you, girl?" the Phoenix demanded, analyzing her friend closely. "You're not late usually."
Holland chuckled, smiling tiredly. She seemed truly happy, and that warmed Theresa's heart. She knew that her friend was living an hard time, with Pucey back at Hogwarts, yet, in that moment, it almost seemed like it didn't matter.
"I was in the Charms class", she answered, smiling brightly.
"With who?" Theresa asked. "It is clearly not Flitwick who put a tornado in your hair."
Her friend's green eyes widened.
"It's that bad?" she blinked, trying to find a place where she could look at her reflection.
"Yes, it is. Now, tell us. No secrets, remember?"
Holland grinned a little, staring at her friends one by one. She almost seemed to wonder if she could tell them about the reason of her happiness, which Theresa found weird. Holland never had a secret before.
"I am seeing someone", The Hippogriff finally admitted. "Actually, not seeing, but dating."
The three other girls gasped, and they all got up to get closer to her. Their faces were illuminated with joy; it didn't matter that she hadn't told them about this mystery person before. The only thing that did, matter, was that she was saying it now.
"Who is it?" Elizabeth asked eagerly. "A Slytherin? Ravenclaw?"
"A Gryffindor", Holland announced, her cheeks reddening a little bit. "We were friends for a little while, in secret, and at Remus' birthday party, we, erm, tested some sheets. We decided after we had to give it a shot."
"Stop with the mystery, girl!" Sofia exclaimed. "Just tell us!"
Holland stared at her hands, smiling, and she gazed at her best friends.
