It wasn't brilliant. The situation was worse than what Elizabeth could have ever imagined.
Sofia had called an Amazon meeting. And she asked the two others to ban Theresa from the group.
Elizabeth couldn't understand. Yes, Theresa had made an incredibly huge mistake. But they were a team. They were supposed to have each other's back. What had changed?
Lizzy knew that Sofia always despised people who did illegal things. But Lizzy always thought it was hypocrite from her, since being part of the Amazons was illegal, with all the mischief they had caused before. Yet, Lizzy never made a comment about it, supporting Sofia.
Yes, it was wrong, stealing all that money. But if Elizabeth was in the situation Theresa was, she would have done the same thing to save Ingrid.
Holland and Elizabeth both refused to kick Theresa out, which angered Sofia, who left the room at the same moment.
It was a week before, and Elizabeth had talked to none of them since. She tried to talk to Theresa, but unfortunately, she was nowhere to be found. She was skipping all her classes, all her dinners, but yet, she wasn't at the infirmary. Jane was saying that Theresa had left school, to 'deal with family problems'. But Lizzy was certain it wasn't true, and Theresa was probably in a spa in Hogsmeade, to relax. It wouldn't surprise her.
Sofia was simply avoiding her. Everytime Ellie was trying to get closer, to speak with her, Sofia was turning away, kissing Sirius hungrily. Elizabeth's eyes were almost bleeding everytime.
Were they a couple? That wasn't sure. Some were saying yes, others were saying they were only 'seeing each other'. Elizabeth knew it was to piss Theresa off, and she couldn't understand why her friend would do that.
Elizabeth had the opinion that she truly liked Sirius too.
But it wasn't a certitude.
Heading back to her Common Room, discouraged from her last attempt to reach Theresa, Eliza couldn't help but wonder if the Amazons would really end because of a boy. As pathetic as it was , Lizzy knew how many dumb things someone could do because of love. Yet, their friendship was like rock. They were friends for only two years, but, it would have been the same if they knew each other since they were born.
But Elizabeth wouldn't give up soon. She was the optimistic one in the gang, the one who'd say to everyone there was still hope, even when it looks like there isn't. Theresa usually answer something classy, like 'Hope is a bitch', but Elizabeth didn't agree. It was the thing, the feeling that led to a better situation, a better world. If nobody had hope, there wouldn't have one human being left on Earth. Hope was keeping humans alive.
Falling onto the yellow and black striped couch, her long, red hair, flying behind her, Elizabeth sighed. Boys were only bringing drama in life.
Straightening herself on her seat, Elizabeth opened her school bag, and took off her Charms book, with her quills and parchment.
Lizzy wasn't dumb, far from it. But she was also far from being the best at school.
She had the bad tendency of day dreaming in class, not retaining any information, and then, when it was the moment to study or accomplish her homeworks, she always had "something more important to do". The result of it was she didn't have great grades.
Elizabeth probably wouldn't have passed the O.W.Ls she needed if it wasn't from the other Amazons. All of them excelling in one subject in particular, and Theresa in pretty much everything, Eliza had to admit it, she succeeded to have good enough grades. No 'Outstandings', but no 'Dreadfulls' either, which was more than she expected.
But the one class Ellie loved and was paying attention too, was Care of Magical Creatures. Since her first year, Elizabeth couldn't wait to finally have the class, because the amount of book she read about them. She was already in love with usual, non-magic animals, but magical creatures are way more interesting, in her opinion. So, that's why she wanted to be a Magizoologist, just like the author of her favourite book about Magical Creatures, Newt Scamander.
Ten minutes after her Charms book was out, Elizabeth was already bored. With relief, she soon saw her friend, Amos, coming towards her.
"I see you're having trouble with the Charms essay?" he asked, a small, mocking smile appearing on his soft features.
"No, not at all. I don't know where you got that statement from," Elizabeth rolled her eyes, smirking.
"You're having trouble with what?" Amos asked, taking the book.
"Everything?" Elizabeth asked.
He glanced at her, his eyebrows raised, a smile playing on his lips. His brown hair were longer than it ever has been, curling slightly behing his ears. His chocolate brown eyes were as charming as ever, and his Hufflepuff tie was hanging, loose, around his neck.
"Here, let me help you."
He tried to explain the complicated spells and theories about all the Charms, whitout forgetting the names of some bright wizards who helped in creating some jinxes. Everything was only confusing Elizabeth, who was trying to retain and understand everything all at the same time. And with everything going on with her best friends, it was hard to focus about the effects of the Protean Charm.
She also just didn't give a damn about it.
"Do you think you understand?" Amos asked after a small while.
Elizabeth came back to Earth, her eyes widening a bit. How do you say politely to someone you didn't listen a thing they said for the past fifteen minutes? That's the struggle she was living at the moment.
"Yeah, yeah, thanks," Elizabeth lied, smiling at him. "But, erm-"
Elizabeth was cut by Amos' mouth, which had crashed on her moving lips. Elizabeth widened her hazel green eyes, surprised. She couldn't process what was happening, because of shock.
His mouth was getting more intense on hers. But she didn't have the strenght to pull away until his tongue tried to enter her mouth. It disgusted her. Not because Amos wasn't an attractive guy, because he truly was, but because he was her friend, and she never saw him in an other way. Also, she couldn't help but think about the amount of mouths Amos' tongue visited.
And, she was pretty sure he liked someone else.
With her two hands on his shoulders, she pushed him with all her strenght, trying to get away. But of course, Amos quickly understood what the young girl wanted, so he pulled away himself.
Amos Diggory wasn't the most nice guy at Hogwarts. But never, he would kiss or have sex with a girl who didn't want to.
"What are you doing?" Elizabeth shrieked.
Some first years who were standing near them turned around, gazed at them, but quickly got back to the homeworks they were writing. They didn't want to get involve with seventh year business, and Ellie could understand why.
"Kissing you?" said Amos.
"I figured it out, but why?" Elizabeth exclaimed, still shocked.
"Because I felt like it, and I thought you wanted to too?"
