"I am about to break those high heels", Theresa Greenburg groaned, walking in the mud towards the greenhouses.
"It was such a bad idea", Jane added. "My toes are frozen!"
Theresa opened the door of the greenhouse for the sixth years like it was marked on the Map. She entered the small building followed closely by Jane, Eva, and Bonnie, two fellow Ravenclaws with whom they shared a dormitory. Theresa wasn't close to them, but she was considering them as good acquaintances. Maybe even as friends, if she was in a good mood.
"We already ruined our makeups with that stupid run they forced us to do", Bonnie sighed. "What could be worst now?"
"I think it's better if we don't figure it out", Theresa said, having a look at the greenhouses.
If there was one challenge that she didn't want to do, it was this one. She didn't mind that much the other ones; yeah, the swamp isn't cool, but it's still better than this one.
"What the fuck do we have to do, now?" Jane asked, annoyed. "I didn't run half the castle for nothing. It better be good."
"Why do you care so much about the Amazons identity?" Theresa asked, running a hand in her short blonde hair. "You never did before."
"Think about it", Jane answered. "All the fame it'd bring. Everyone will want to know how we figured it out! Also, it has to be Ravenclaws who figures out the mystery. We have a reputation to hold."
"That's true", Eva said, putting her long red hair in a ponytail. "So, let's do this."
Bonnie and Eva lit their wands and lightened the scene. The greenhouse was filled with plants; that wasn't a surprise. The thing was, it was the exact same plant in two rows, that was spitting some weird juice on the floor between. At the hand of the way, the small black box was there, waiting for someone to open it.
"What kind of plant is it?" Bonnie asked, frowning at the weird sight.
"It's from France", Jane said. "I can't remember the name..."
"It's Jonquilles de Serpentins", Theresa said, staring at the few yellow flowers on the plants. "It spits venom. However, the venom isn't toxic. Which is pretty good, considering we are going to be soaked in it."
"What do you mean, soaked?" Eva wondered.
"You'll see soon enough", the Veela sighed, taking off her high heels. "It won't be fun, believe me on this."
Theresa took a few steps back and brought her hair in a little updo. It wasn't looking very good, with her short hair, but it was still better than having the juice in all of them.
After a deep sigh, the Ravenclaw ran towards the pond of the smelly liquid, and let herself glide on it on the stomach. She closed her mouth and her grey blueish eyes, trying to not have some in her face. She could also feel some juice fall on her back, while the plants were spitting it on her.
At the second she stopped gliding, she got up and cough, the odor giving her nausea. She had never smelled something so terrible before. It was even worse than Sirius' breath in the morning.
Theresa wiped the venom of her face with her hands. Only one look at her dress made her want to cry; it was covered in the green substance; practically ruined. She'd use a spell on it at the second they were out of the greenhouse.
"Why did you do this?" Jane shrieked. "You look awful!"
"We're forced to", Theresa announced. "If we try to put our feet on it, we'd immediately fall. We could be seriously injured, so it's better to just glide on it. We'll wash our dresses at the second we get out, don't worry."
