As Fate sits down beside me, the dynamic in the room seems to change.

The reason we are here is still unknown to me, so I keep my eye on Fate, trying to get a hint out of him. Whatever the reason is, it's serious. All the mischief and play that I'm used to seeing is barren from his gaze, as he concentrates on who sits in front of him. It takes a lot for me to drag my gaze to see who he is concentrating on. It's fascinating seeing him as clear at a blank slate, but I'm curious to see who can make him look like that.

Karma.

Perhaps Fate is just as shocked by the pureness of her eyes as I am. Or maybe he sees what's behind it, that suggests her abilities, her namesake.

"Considering we haven't all been in the same room for such a long time, you would think we have a lot to talk about," Sinful comments, clearly attempting to slice the tension in half. It doesn't seem to be going anywhere, though. That's what happens when there is immense amount of power in one room.

"This was Fate's idea, wasn't it?" Death remarks from her end of the table. T remains quiet beside her, although, he looks less amused by everything.

I glance back at Fate, who doesn't give anything away.

"It's not my relation that this concerns," he replies tightly, and everyone's gaze swoops over to Sinful. He raises his eyebrow in response, yet doesn't look offended. Maybe family to these people doesn't mean the same as it does to mortals. Well, considering they are all millions of years old...Are any of their family still alive?

"So, this is about my sister, then?"

Death makes some noise of amusement, leaning back further in her chair. "As if there is any other reason for us all to come together. Unless of course, you would have preferred us to do this behind your back?"

I would have preferred it, but then again, I have no reason to voice my opinions. Plus, the reason why I don't want him here is because I'm afraid of him. It's not hard to tell, even just from his presence, that he is terrifying.

"Maybe I was foolish for thinking Fate wanted us to get together for a few drinks and a catch up," Sinful mutters. There's nothing serious in his statement.

"You know this has to happen," Fate says slowly, sweeping his eyes across the table to encompass everyone into this. Death continues to look nothing but bored, while Karma gives nothing away. Both of these females look silent and deadly, listening to the argument between Fate and Sinful, seeming to take away what they want from it.

Sinful shrugs, stealing back my attention. "She is getting a little problematic, isn't she?"

"You could say that," T say shrewdly.

I feel even more useless in this situation, not knowing what Sinful's sister has to do with anything. From looking at him, I can only imagine the woman who grew up beside him. By the way they discuss her, she does seem just as fear inducing to them as he does to me.

"Well then, if you see her so much as a threat, then what's the plan from here?" he questions, tracing his finger over a small scar on his hand, as if out of habit. From where I sit, I can't see definitively what it is from.

"She's your sister," Fate says, "we were hoping that perhaps you knew. You did grow up next to her."

Sinful chuckled, shaking his head.
