Fate saunters through the trees, eyes darkening immediately at the sight of Sinful.

He had explained to me why he is here, partially, before we hopped down from the tree. As much as I don't trust Sinful with my life, I didn't run from him. It would have been pointless anyway. Unless I am able to summon that magic Fate, he would find me in less than a second, and who knows what would happen after that.

"He needs our help," I say quickly, before Fate could disappear right on front of us. Fate hates Sinful, and Sinful enjoys messing with Fate.

"No he doesn't," Fate mutters.

Sinful chuckles slightly, as Fate stands in front of us, closest to me. I'm tense, waiting for him to grab me and take me away back to his secret home. Instead, he stares down Sinful, not moving and inch, as if out of spite.

"Something put you in a sour mood, darling Fate?" Sinful asks, leaning back against the tree I had scaled earlier.

"Get lost."

"As much as I can't help but not want anything to do with Sinful, this has something to do with Ira," I tell him. He has explained why he is here to me to a point, which is part of the reason why I stayed still. I knew the moment he mentioned the name Ira, Fate would want to hear his point, as much as he hates him. "Isn't she your major problem right now?"

Fate shakes his head slightly, clearly seething beneath that impassive expression. "Could you not have written a letter?"

"I thought you were more interesting than that," Sinful remarks.

A muscle in Fate's jaw ticks. Any moment now, I'm waiting for an explosion of power to form between them. I wonder briefly if they have always been like this. Sinful mentioned his past with Fate, but it was brief and told me almost nothing about them two. I need to remember to bring it up to Fate to demand he tells me everything.

"You tire me," Fate mutters.

I roll my eyes, making sure that both of them can see. "Can you stop? Seriously? Arguing isn't going to solve anything."

"Oh, wise Miss Zayla," Sinful teases, causing me to shoot him a glare.

Fate stares stubbornly at Sinful for a while, not saying a single word. I wish I had Sinful's ability to look into people's minds. If so, I would infiltrate Fate's without a second thought. Just to see what his thought process is."
