It was the fourth night that Camila did not sleep. Her nightmares had returned, and she's not going to go through them again.

She was laying in bed with Lauren wrapped around her body. Her green eyed girlfriend sleeping peacefully, her chest rising and falling in rhythm. The brown eyed girl would always act asleep when she knew it was time for Lauren to wake up; she didn't want her knowing she was lacking sleep.

Camila looked over at her phone and turned it on to see the time. It was near seven and she knew her girlfriend would be waking up soon. She positioned herself to where she could "sleep" and waited. She even hated fake sleeping.

She made sure she wouldn't actually go to sleep by pinching her leg. Minutes passed by, Lauren stirred and finally woke up. She yawned and looked up at Camila. She frowned and caressed her cheek.

Lauren didn't know what was going on. She just knows that something isn't right. Camila doesn't have the same brightness in her eyes. They're almost....dull. Or they are dull. Lauren has also noticed how she looks exhausted all the time even though Camila tries to hide it, Lauren knows.

She studied her girlfriend's face. Her face is always now just a frown. Fake smiles. Her girlfriend doesn't look peaceful as she sleeps.

She knows the nightmares are back, but is Camila not sleeping? Lauren's thought vanished when her girlfriend's eyelids fluttered open.

"Morning, kitten." She husked. Lauren gave her a weak smile. She tried to see anything different about her girlfriend, but she had just woken up and she didn't have the energy.

After brushing their teeth, the girls later walked downstairs to eat breakfast, Lauren feeding the dogs, and Camila cooking breakfast.

"Ow fuck!"

Lauren quickly turned to the brunette. Camila had her hand clutched to her chest.

"What? What is it?" Lauren hurried to her. She pulled Camila's hand and saw the rather big burn.

"How did you...?" Lauren asked, looking up at Camila's eyes, now seeing the big bags underneath her eyes.

"Just slipped that's all." Camila pulled her hand back quickly, noticing Lauren's staring. Lauren stood aside in silence. She was now examining her girlfriend. She noticed how Camila walked funny. Drunk looking. She was also avoiding eye contact with her.

Lauren knew now, and she had to ask.

"Camz?"

"Mhmm?" Camila hummed in response, her eyes looking at Lauren's for a split second.

"Can you look at me for a second?" Lauren asked. Camila turned around slowly and darted her eyes elsewhere but Lauren's.

"Are you not sleeping?" The green eyed girl voiced her thought.

"What? What do you mean??" Camila chuckled nervously.

"You know what I mean, Camila. Are you not sleeping at night...when you are supposed to?" Lauren now walked up to Camila. The said girl rolled her eyes and responded.

"Well how am I supposed to sleep with those damn nightmares I get?? It's like I can't fucking blink anymore because they're always there. I thought they had stopped because I have you when I sleep." Camila's voice raised, not towards Lauren. It was more to herself. Camila started pacing around the kitchen and continued talking. Lauren was surprised at the unexpected lash from her girlfriend.

"It's like they're haunting me and they won't let me live because they're fucking everywhere! They ruined one of my favorite things I like to do in life which is sleep but now I can't fucking do that! Might as well fucking take all my shit if I can't sleep." Camila panted. Lauren walked up to her and grabbed her arm to stop her pacing.
