Deduction
If a person's hair looks bleached, shiny, and a bit brittle or damaged, or sometimes a greenish in colour, it is most likely that they are a swimmer or spend a lot of time in a pool. The chlorine drys out and burns the ends of the hair strands. It disrupts the electronic structure responsible for hair colour and breaks down the proteins in the hair. Oxidised metals in the water can turn the hair green.
