Persuasion
At the first sign of weakness, the targeted party may begin to see through the plot of your persuasive web. It is said that people who show weakness get killed by those who lack them. The same applies to persuasive dealings.
Example: Whilst bantering with "a friend," you make a serious spelling error. If you admit to it now, you'd lose the position gained through the banter as well as your footing for future persuasive dealings.
