Deduction
The only reliable way to discern a person's sex or gender on the Internet is if such a declaration comes directly from that person. There is no mode of speech, cadence, or tone that is uniquely male or female. Many a meme or idea have been spawned around this fallacy, be it how men perceive colour differently (what a man might call pink, a woman would call pale rose) or a more generalised statement (men tend to quantify, women tend to qualify), but the problem with these observations is that, often times, they are unscientific and are gone into with a foregone conclusion already in mind.
