Amy's P.O.V -
"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Josh whispers to me as I pull down my hoodie and wait for the nurse to tell my which room my brothers in.
"Room 296." She finally says after what seems like moments of waiting. I rush off down the hall and Josh struggles to follow behind me because of my fast pace.
"Amy, wait!" He shouts, and about three hospital doors open.
I immediately regret bringing him.
I finally find the room I'm looking for and as I'm looking down I notice my hands are shaking.
"You can do this." I whisper to myself, as I slowly push open the hospital room door.
My brothers lying there, wires and cables strapped up and coming out of him. Its a horrible sight, a sight no one should see, and what's even worse, is my family's there around him. Wait, what am I talking about? Of course they'd be, they love him.
As the door opens all of them apart from my brother turn to face me, my mother suddenly standing up in a rage.
"Get out! Now! Get out!" She screams.
"Mum, please. I just came here to see Jas-"
"Get out!" She screams again. Before I know it Josh's arms are wrapped around my waist.
"She has a right to be here." He interrupts my mother, squeezing my waist tighter.
"No she doesn't! And who are you, her father? Her father doesn't want her and neither do we! Just both of you, get out! Neither of you are welcome!" She shouts.
"But-" Before I can say anything, a nurse comes in, along with three policeman.
"Mrs Carls? I'm afraid I'm gonna have to ask you to come with us."
"What? Why?" She says, her face going pale.
"Because you've been reported of Abandonment and child abuse. You need to come with us."
"Wha- Who would report me of such?" The mother shouts angrily. She eyes up me and Josh, before turning to us.
"You two. This isn't over." She mutters to us, before walking out.
My siblings all stare at me, shocked and scared as I stand like a frozen statue, before Josh gently nudges me forward.
"Go." He whispers to me gently, his warm breath radiating against my pale skin.
I give him a reassuring smile before walking towards them.
"Uh- hey." I stutter, as I grab a chair from the side of the room and place it round the left side of the bed. Everyone's sitting on the right, its best not to sit next to anyone right now.
