Thompson's P.O.V.

The car rides silent and awkward, the only noise that can be heard is the faint music of the radio silently coming through the speakers.

"You alright Amy?" Matt asks, as he looks in the area view mirror of the drives seat.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She mutters, and Matt gives me a look worryingly.

"We're here!" Matt shouts, as he stops the car outside the hospital and parks the car. Amy gives him a weak smile and she opens the door, getting out.

"She's sad." Matt says to me. I clap sarcastically and raises his eyebrows before we both get out too, to which Amy is already inside.

We walk in and Amy gives her name before a short young blonde directs us to a room down the hall straight away.

She whispers something in Amy's ear which me and matt can't work our before she knocks on the door shakily.

"Come in." We hear a woman say, an accent strong as it projects through her voice. Amy pushes open the door to reveal a old lady that looks around 30, with wrinkles and dark black straight hair.

"Amy!" The lady grins, getting up and hugging her as Amy smiles. Amy says "Hello" back before she sits down on the chair, me and matt sitting down on two on the opposite side of the room.

"So, how are you?" The lady asks cheerily, smiling.

"I'm okay, stressed but okay."

"Ah good, and have you been taking your injections and medication?"

"Yep."

"That's good." The lady says, tapping away on her computer.

"I'm gonna have to ask you boys to leave, just for two minutes." The Lady turns to us. Matt nods and we walk out, closing the door behind us.

"Poor Amy." Matt says. "Josh must of really hurt her."

"Yeah, I mean, we all know deep down he loves her though. Its obvious."

"He won't admit it. He's scared, he knows she's gonna die I'm a few months and-"

"3 and a half weeks." The ladies voice interrupts Matt's explanation from inside the room.

What?

3 and a half weeks till what?

10 minutes Later Amy comes back, she has a bandage round her left upper arm and her cheeks are stained red.

"Amy? What's up? What did she say? 3 and a half weeks till what?" I bombard her with questions.

"Till I die. 3 and a half weeks till I die. And I've just got a text.."

"Saying?" I ask. I can see her start to shake again.

"My- My 17 year old brother, Jason. He got in a car crash and- and none of the family know if he's okay." Amy cries. Matt rushes over and hugs her and she leans her head on his shoulder as tears pour down his face.

I remember vaguely Josh telling us about how Amy got abused by her family, she was abandoned and abused and the only person who was nice was Jason. But he stopped speaking to her, they all did.
