Josh's P.O.V.-
Wiping up my bloody nose, I smash open my bedroom door as I reach for my coat off the bed.
"I'm going to see Amy." I mutter to myself, zipping my green coat up and pulling the hood so it hides my face.
I quietly rush down the stairs and sneak out the door, careful not to alert the 5 whispers in the kitchen. I shut the door quietly behind me and seeing as I can't drive, start to walk down the footpath, a shortcut to the hospital. The fact that its 10pm won't help and I may not even be allowed in the ward, but one glance of Amy and my faith will be restored.
I finally get to the hospital and push open the doors, getting looks from different people as I walk in. I go over to the desk and the lady looks up at me, glasses resting on the bridge of her nose.
"May I help you?" She snaps fiercely. Someone got out on the wrong side of bed today.
"Um, yeah, I'm here to see someone?"
"Visiting hours are closed. You should've come earlier." She snaps again.
Jeez, she needs to stop snapping, she's like an angry crocodile.
"Well this is urgent and I couldn't, I only found out about an hour and a half ago." I tell her, well, more like beg.
She huffs angrily before looking up at me.
"Name?"
"Amy...I don't know her last name, but she got hit by a truck." I say desperately, trying to push the words off my tounge ad quick as possible, it stings to say them.
"She came in earlier. Poor little thing." The receptionists attitude suddenly decreases, as sadness takes over her straight features.
"Sorry. Room 296. Isn't her brother-"
"Yes, thanks, bye." I interrupt her, rushing down the hallway.
I'm scared of what I'm gonna see, the lady's face when I mentioned Amy...what she said...I'm scared. What if its terrible, permanent?
I quickly pull down the edge of my blue jumper and made my way down the corridor, it seems to go on forever. I get to the room door, I recognise it straight away. My hands have got extremely sweaty, my stomach has butterflies racing round inside and I feel like I'm about to faint. But its good that the only people in there are Amy and her brother, it makes her easier to talk to.
I slowly push open the door, what I see is heartbreaking, it has to be, there's no other way to describe my emotions and pain from the sight.
Amy and Jason's bed are next to each other, both their arms stretched out, linked in the middle by their clutched hands.
Aw.
I slowly shut the door behind me, I can't get a chair or I'll make a noise to wake them up, so I sit in the corner. They still dont wake up, so I get out my phone.
10:23? Bloody hell, its late. No texts or calls though.
