I was in high school in Edinburgh, Scotland when Ichiro first approached me. He was straight to the point and asked me if he wants me to be part of his organization after college.
There are no sugar coating, Ichiro was damn honest which made me say yes. He told me what he needs and what he can offer. I accepted his proposal without any hesitations.
During summer vacations, I was training with Ichiro in Russia and Africa. Doon ko nakilala si Veronika at si Hunter na kasama ko during my training.
The three of us shared a similar fate. Our parents were taken from us because of an accident. An accident that can be avoided if only these evil people are not lurking in this world.
We developed an unusual bond during our training. A few years later, we met Levine. He is about two years younger than us, but he is our team leader.
"That's our team leader? He looks like a kid," inis na sabi ni Hunter habang nasa loob kami ng aming training quarters.
We don't know where exactly we are right, but it seems na ang secluded training facility namin ay nasa gitna ng Siberian mountains. Napapalibutan kami ng gubat at yelo.

"I have a feeling that he is something else," mahinang sabi ni Hunter na nasa pinaka baba na bahagi.
"What do you mean he is something else?" tanong ko sa kanya.
Hunter is fond of using the term Something Else if he is not feeling good about someone.
"I can't read him as if he does not have a soul. Anyway, it is probably my imagination. Matulog na tayo, balita ko magbababad daw tayo sa yelo ng nakahubad bukas."
"Ay gusto ko yan! Tabi tayo Rafael ah?" sigaw ni Nika bago ko tuluyan isara ang lampshade.
Hunter was recruited by Ichiro because of his exemplary talent to read people's reaction and behavior. He has a very brilliant talent to manipulate people and can be an excellent con artist.
Except when he becomes nervous. Hunter is useless when he is nervous and that is very rare.
Just like Hunter, I feel that there is something off with Levine. Nakasama namin siya ng maraming beses sa training, but it is like we are dealing with a different person. I am always careful when he is around.
"Hey guys, I found something fishy about Levine," sabi ni Hunter after ng aming death defying training sa yelo.
"Hunter, stop it. He is our team leader. Wag mo na siya imbestigahan. Be glad that he is a Filipino and he is nice," sabi ni Nika na nakahiga sa top most deck.
"Eh di wag ka makinig sa kwento ko. So, Rafael, magkasama kami ni Ichiro kanina sa woods. He told me about Levine's past," sabi ni Hunter sabay higa sa tabi ko.
"Sinabi sayo ni Ichiro?" tanong ni Nika na biglang sumiksik din ng upo sa kama ko.
"Nika, dun ka nga, di ka kasali. Kami lang ni Rafael ang nag-uusap dito."
"Share niyo na. Gusto ko din malaman."
"Eto na nga, sabi ni Ichiro, he does not want to hide it from us dahil isa daw tayong pamilya. He found Levine when he was young. He has a very high IQ, as in Einstein ang level, but he has a psychopathic tendencies."
"Well, dapat asahan na natin yun. We are trained to be cold blooded assassins in the future. He is an asset to our team," dagdag ni Nika.
"Nika, you don't want to know the exact details, but Levine already killed several people at a very young age. He was seven during that time."
"I want to know those details. Spill it out, Hunter."
"Levine's parents were brutally murdered in front of him. I am not sure who, isang kapit bahay na drug addict daw sabi ni Ichiro. Iyon ang alam ko na naging trigger ng kanyang split personality. He grew up to an abusive uncle and aunt. Abusive because they were physically hurting him. When Ichiro found him, the kid is already damaged. Do you want me to continue?" tanong ni Hunter kay Nika and she just nodded.
"It was Levine who killed his aunt and uncle. He murdered them. When Ichiro found him, it is as if nothing happened. Ichiro knows that he found a very dangerous kid."
"Oh, shit. Nakakatakot pala si Levine. I can't even imagine kung anong naranasan niya noon," sabi ni Nika.
"Just be careful with him, but try to understand him. He's a kid. Sa ngayon, all he needs is a family," sabi ko kay Hunter at Nika.
