Two years later~

It's been two years since Lucy had come to the Realm of Dragons and she had been enjoying every day of it. Everything was at peace and there was not a sign of turbulence in the area; only joy resounded in the air. She got along with all the beings, dragons and creatures alike, and they treated her with respect and kindness for she was their sole princess.

"Lucy-sama, your hair has gotten noticeably long," Grandeeney sat up.

"Really?" Lucy tilted her head in question, her warm chocolate brown orbs glimmering as she looked at the dragon.

"Yes, it has," she remarked. "Why not cut it?"

"I'm fine with having long hair," she replied with a slight laugh, touching the silky golden locks of hair that reached down to her feet. "Mother had the same long golden hair so I want to keep it long."

Grandeeney smiled. "I see."

Lucy nodded her head before going back to playing with the soft mythical creature that she had taken in a year ago. It snuggled up against her touch, its white cat-like ears perking up while it's white bunny ears with golden gradient ends and a ring around each one flapped lovingly at its side. On its back, a golden flower mark was imprinted. Its white fluffy tail swished around and its golden beaded eyes peered tenderly up at Lucy.

"It's gotten rather attached to you, too," Skiadrum flew down beside them. "That species doesn't think much of others and usually travel around in groups."

"You've taken a liking to it, haven't you?" Weisslogia added, he, too, landing down.

Lucy smiled. "Yes. I have taken a liking to it."

"Oh? It's rare to see you all gathered," Igneel dropped down with a heavy thud.

"Still as ungraceful as ever," Grandeeney muttered.

Metalicana chuckled. "You heard her."

Igneel ignored their remarks with annoyance and pointed at the creature that sat between Lucy's legs. "There's a ton of other creatures out there that are way cuter than that, why not choose them instead to act as your company?"

At his comment, the being snarled at him, its fur standing up on its back.

"And it seems that that creature really dislikes you," Weisslogia laughed.

"I'm sure that it dislikes every one of us besides Lucy," Igneel retorted, unamused.

Lucy laughed lightly to herself as she went back to patting the little creature. "It was thrown away and abandoned by its family and maybe because of that, I took it in," Lucy laughed coldly. "It really brings back memories."

Even though she said that, the creature refused to leave her side as if it knew that Lucy and it were two similar and alike beings in a sense. Lucy's soft demeanor returned as she went back to stroking its soft fur. But, her eyes were filled with melancholy and vexation at the returned memories and the dragons noticed it. They decided to ignore it and go on with what they had planned to do. After all, they couldn't more or less agree with the fact that Lucy had every right to feel the way she did for they all were probably even more aggravated than Lucy was. A dragon's rage never disappears and that was a relentless fact.

She continued petting it but with pensiveness reflecting in those brown orbs of hers.

One year later~

With the blink of an eye, three years had already passed. Time had wearied the appearances of humans and animals alike but there was not a hint of age on Lucy's face. She had stayed the same beautiful flower as she had always been without the slightest imperfection. Rather, she had grown much more beautiful within the three years; though, the same loneliness was etched deep in her eyes. But, it was much clearer than when she had first come.
