"Uggghhhh...It's already the afternoon?" Sting rubbed his head.
"We slept for that long?" Lector flew dizzily.
Frosch looked outside, the sun high in the sky. "It seems so~."
The whole guild was now awake - if not a bit drowsy - as their head rang in their skull from the previous night's hangover as well as from the wake-up call that Lucy so spectacularly made. Their ears were still ringing and they sat there on the floor, feeling horrible. Lucy and Kyubey smiled as they sat on the bar stool, watching in amusement.
Minerva looked at Lucy, her face writhing in pain. "How are you still fine?"
"Hmmm," Lucy tilted her head with a smile. "I wonder why."
"Forget I even asked," Minerva waved her hand.
"What day is it...?" Rogue murmured, looking grimmer and gloomier than his usual dark self.
"It's the day of the 'Fall Festival'. The 'Parade of the Guilds' are over," Lucy answered. "All of you seem to have partied a little too hard. Don't you think?"
They gloomed, even more, knowing what she said was the truth.
Lucy chuckled and stood back up, Kyubey hopping onto her shoulder. She dusted the back of her cape and looked at them. "Now then, the main question is are you guys still able to go to the 'Fall Festival'. With the state that all of you guys are in, I highly doubt it."
Sting hurriedly objected and stood up, knocking the chair beside him over. "I can still g-!"
Just as fast as he had stood up, he was down. His face paled white as he turned to the side and ran to the bathroom, throwing up everything that was in his stomach as best as he could. He slunk down onto the floor looking lifeless than ever. Lucy smiled in pity at him and she almost felt sorry for him. She walked over to him and stood near him
"I doubt you can," she concluded.
"I...can..." he struggled to say but his hangover got the better of him.
"So stubborn," she sighed and as she began to walk away, she felt a tug on her cape, stopping her mid-track.
"I'm going with you to the festival," he narrowed his eyes at her, insistent.
She stared back at him but soon turned as she noticed movements from the others out the corner of her eye. Minerva seemed to be regaining her composure and stood up, looking straight at her with a grin.
"We're going with you, Lucy," she stated. "It'd be a waste not to go see the festival planned out by the people and the royal family themselves."
Yukino nodded her head in agreement. "I think we'll be fine."
"A few more hours of rest and we'll be fine," Rufus sat on the ground as he found his legs numb.
"The festival starts at five anyway. We've got time!" Orga grinned.
"We're going with you, Lucy-san, on our own free will," Rogue added with a silent smile.
"That's right, Lucy-san!" Lector beamed at her. "It's a festival after all. It's better if we go with everyone! The more the merrier!"
"Fro thinks so, too~!"
Lucy looked at them as if they were crazy for even though they had said such lines, they didn't look fine at all. In fact, they looked ready to collapse any minute now. But seeing the earnest look in their eyes, she sighed and smiled at them, bringing her red paper umbrella to her shoulders.
