With the battle starting once more, Sting took the lead along with Hades, Zeref, and Mavis, giving out commands and orders as to where they should strike. The Twelve Spriggans, the mages from Fiore, and Sabertooth were mainly focused on subduing the undead and preventing the impurity from spreading any further. Despite how much they struck it and how much they tore off, it continued to rejuvenate itself with its massive amount of black rukh. But nevertheless, they kept on going, resting between set intervals so that they could each replenish their magoi.

"It's surprising to see those useless beings actually do some work," Hades sneered at them, the thorns at his feet destroying each rising undead.

"Indeed," Mavis agreed. "Let's just hope they keep this up."

Zeref continued on focusing his attacks but remarked with a silent scoff. "They won't for long. Look."

Just as he said that, Natsu and Gray got into a minuscule argument. The two's magic had collided with one another and had caused quite an explosion. Some of their members were dragged into it and instead of worrying about their injuries, they only continued to bicker amongst themselves. Moreover, regardless of how powerful they were, they had overestimated their own abilities. Within thirty minutes of the battle, a few of them had been swallowed up by the impurity.

Mavis sighed and focused on what they were doing. "I can't even look at them anymore."

"Must be hard, huh, First Master?" Sting remarked.

She remained silent and averted her eyes. "I'm sorry."

"There's no use in apologizing," he said, blasting a series of his magic at the enemy. "Moreover, there's nothing for you to apologize for."

"Mavis Vermillion, you should lessen that burden on your shoulders," Hades agreed.

"Bearing the responsibilities of your friends and your guild," Zeref smiled. "You haven't changed at all. That part of you can sometimes be bothersome."

Mavis smiled.

"In any case, the main question is still how we're going to be able to get into that ship," Sting jumped back and glared up at the floating castle in the distance. "Lucy had penetrated through the barrier with ease and that's how we got through but..."

He glanced over at the three of them and they shook their heads.

"Should've known," he sighed in dismay. "Any ideas, Kyubey?"

Kyubey had stayed on the deck of the ship and was overlooking everything. Its attention had been focused on the ship in the distance and it had been staring long and hard at it but in the end, it closed its golden beaded eyes and shook its head. Penetrating the barrier of the ship was impossible considering the fact that they had all wasted a large amount of magoi on subduing the undead. Lucy had been able to penetrate it because she had the Blessings of the Dragons which can destroy almost anything but it could only be done one time. It took quite a lot of magoi to cast a spell that contained a blessing and only Lucy obtained the blessings.

Sting cursed under his breath and looked up at it. "Is there nothing I can do?"

With Lucy in the ship and in Lucifer's hands, there was nothing else that they could do. Sting hated how helpless and useless he was and the same went for the others. They couldn't approach the ship which meant that the possibility of saving Lucy was almost at zero percent. Kyubey narrowed its beaded eyes and strained its ears, thinking long and hard. That's when it suddenly remembered.

"Myuu!" it yelled.

"Did you figure out something?!" Sting, Hades, Zeref, and Mavis all yelled at once.
