The rukh around her dispersed and flew away, dropping Lucy off as she gently landed on her feet. Her golden hair softly landed by her side while her white fur cape settled on her shoulder. She held the red umbrella on her shoulder and looked at the ground, lost in thought before bursting into a grin.
"Seems like they're doing well. Don't you agree, Kyubey?"
"Myuu," it purred softly.
She smiled at herself in accomplishment. She hadn't thought that the first time they would meet again would be like that. But then again, fate had its own unique way of doing things. The fear that she had thought she would feel was not in her anymore. In fact, meeting them again seemed enjoyable. The look of shock and bewilderment on their faces amused her. They had forgotten her three years ago but now that she was back, they remembered her. She laughed. Power. That was the only thing they sensed from her which was why they remembered her.
"It'd be fun meeting them again," she chuckled to herself.
She looked around and noticed that they were quite close to where their mansion was. Kyubey, too, seemed to be filled with excitement after meeting Natsu and the others. She left the alleyway and hummed to herself as she began walking towards her destination. Now that she saw them again, she finally had another interesting thing added to her life. Fairy Tail. What should she do with them?
Just as she was about to turn the corner, she heard a voice call out to her.
"Lucy!"
She turned around and widened her eyes in surprise. Kyubey's mouth was gaping wide as it stared at the approaching four with a pale yet furious face.
"Sting?! Rogue?!" she exclaimed as the two panted, catching their breaths.
"We finally caught up to you," Sting engulfed a huge amount of air before letting it out. "Why does your location keep changing?"
"Thank goodness we found you though."
Lucy chuckled nervously to herself, a sweat-drop rolling down her face. It'd be an annoyance if I told them I used teleportation magic.
"So, what did you guys need me for?" Lucy asked, changing the subject as she petted Kyubey, comforting its angered mood.
"We wanted to ask you something," Rogue replied.
Lucy tilted her head in question.
Lector pulled at Sting's pants. "Sting-kun, we should explain everything first."
"Did something happen?" Lucy looked at the exceed. "I thought you guys went back to rest for the day."
"The thing is..." Sting began to say as he rubbed the nape of his neck. "Our landlord was selling the land so all the tenants that lived in the apartments on those lands are getting kicked out. We need to look for a new place to live and fast but Frosch here," Sting bent down and pointed to it. "Wanted to live with you."
"With me?"
"Mn~!" Frosch reached out both of its hands. "Fro wants to live with Lucy~!"
Lucy bent down and picked it up, much to its joy. She patted its head as she turned her attention back to the two dragon slayers.
"So do you guys want to let Frosch stay with me for the time-being or something?"
"We were actually wondering if you could let us stay with you," Lector spoke up. "Since we literally have nowhere else to go."
"It's understandable if you don't want to," Rogue said with a complete understanding face. "This all came to happen because Sting went and followed along with Frosch's idea."
