Lucy stood before the guild, her eyes wide in bewilderment at the scene before her. The guild was in a state of disarray as the unaffected members hurried to provide first aid to the wounded members that laid on the ground. A wooden plank came crashing down from nearby and soon enough, the entire float collapsed to the ground in a sad heap. Other floats were either torn to pieces or frozen completely, impossible to break apart.
"What's the meaning of this?" Lucy murmured.
"Lucy...you're here," Minerva walked up to her amongst all the mess.
"Minerva, what the hell happened here?!" Sting yelled in frustration. "All the floats and even the guild members...!"
"I'm aware," she stated. "Even I'm at a loss for what happened. As soon as I came here, the guild was already in this state."
"It was chaos," Rogue made his way towards them.
"Who would possibly do this~?" Frosch's lips trembled as tears starting flowing from his eyes.
"This is just horrible," Lector looked around him with hopeless eyes. "After all the work that we had done...who would do something so horrible?"
Minerva shook her head, her eyes filled with wrath. "Who would be so awful as to do something like this?"
"You don't possibly mean-!" Sting looked at her.
"It's just a guess. There's no real evidence. We can't assume that."
"But, Minerva!" Sting shouted in exasperation. "Out of everyone, we all know who in fact did all this!"
"Minerva's right," Jiemma's voice boomed behind them. "We can't assume things. Even if it's them that caused all this...if we don't have enough sufficient evidence, we can't claim anything. It'll only cause more trouble."
Sting gritted his teeth and punched the nearby wall. "You've got to be shitting me."
"Then what do you suppose we do now?" asked Lector.
"Yukino has already taken all the injured to the nearby medical center. They all suffered some major injuries during the attack. Not one of them is in any condition to be questioned regarding what had happened," Rogue said, his eyebrows knitted together.
"I see..." Jiemma said. "I'll go pay a visit to them then. I'll leave this up to you guys."
"Yes, Master," Minerva nodded her head.
As Jiemma departed for the hospital to deal with the medical procedures for the guild members, Lucy, Minerva, Sting, Rogue, Lector, Frosch, and Kyubey were left with one another as another float came crashing down into ruin. There was almost nothing to be salvaged and they had already run out of time and supplies to rebuild all of it. They balled their hands into fists as their mouths trembled with hate and guilt. How could they just ruin all their hard efforts like that? How could they?!
"They've done well this time," Lucy spoke up.
Since the time they arrived at the guild, she hadn't spoken a single word and now that they heard her voice, they felt a shiver run down their spine. Though her voice seemed calm, they could hear the slightest hint of a tremble as she choked back her anger and horror. Her chocolate brown orbs seemed darker as they reflected the nothingness that the floats had become.
"They've really done well this time," she walked to the rubbles and let her umbrella go as it faded into rukh. "There are traces of ember and magic in here," she picked up a darkened wooden plank. "Judging from the magoi...it's no doubt dragon slayer magic."
"Then it's really them?!" Sting yelled in outrage.
"No doubt about it. Even an idiot would be able to figure it out," she pointed to the other floats. "Ice, swords, and wind...all that is enough to be able to damage the floats and tear them to pieces. They really did a good job this time. To do something so unexpected yet so...despicable...I should really go and congratulate them," she scoffed.
