"Welcome!" Toma greeted them.
He stood at the top of the balcony with his hands extended, expressing his pleasure to announce the placement of the Fall Festival Guild Parades. The six guilds had gathered, each one of them brimming with anticipation as to what place they would get. Sabertooth, Lamia Scale, Blue Pegasus, Mermaid Heel, Quatro Cerberus, and Fairy Tail were the six guilds that had been chosen to participate this year. They all gathered in one corner of the room and as expected, they were all vying for either first or last place.
"This year's Fall Festival has come around again and once again, I hope that this year you guys will put on another spectacular performance," Toma came down the steps, Hisui and Arcadios following close behind him.
"Of course, the winning guild chosen by the people of Fiore will receive a reward," Hisui's gentle voice continued on as she pranced her eyes around the room. "Of fifty million jewels."
"As always, the placement for the six guilds will be decided via a lottery. Are you guilds ready?" Toma grinned as a spinning lottery machine was introduced into the room. "There are six balls placed inside with numbers indicated on them, representing the day that the guild will perform on. Each guild will choose one member to spin the lottery and what you get is the final result. Now then, please decide amongst yourselves who will spin it. May the goddess of victory side with you."
As the guilds each turned towards one another, questioning who should be the one to spin it, a wave of hushed chattering and whispering washed across the room.
"Kagura, you should spin it," Arana suggested.
"E-Eh?" Kagura immediately pointed to herself. "M-Me?"
"Yeah!" Millianna jumped up in agreement. "Kagura-chan, you should spin it! After all, you're going to become Mermaid Heel's Master soon!"
"Moreover, you're the luckiest one in this group," Beth grinned.
"But..." Kagura objected.
"Just do it, Kagura!" Risley struck her on the back, unaware of the strength she had put in it. "Either way, we're fine with whatever placing we get."
"If you guys say so," Kagura straightened herself and nodded her head.
With Mermaid Heel having decided on who would spin the lottery, Quatro Cerberus had long decided on their member. The tradition of deciding the placing of the guild in the Fall Festival was normally decided by the Master of the guild with him spinning it. Almost all the Masters had gathered and so Quatro Cerberus's Master, Goldmine, was unanimously decided from the beginning to spin it.
"Master, you're going to spin it right?!" Eve exclaimed.
"My~, do you want me to spin it that bad?" their Master Bob said, a blush on his cheek.
"You're the Master of Blue Pegasus, after all," Hibiki smirked.
"Ah. The duty lies within you to spin it, Master Bob," Ichiya nodded his head in agreement. "We men will stand by the side and watch in this case."
"Well said, Teacher!" Ren gave a thumbs-up as he was later joined in by the chorus of Hibiki and Eve.
"Master, we definitely have to win this year!" Jenny gripped her hand into a fist. "We can't settle for the third and fourth place every time!"
Bob laughed as he looked at his guild members with a genuine smile. "But regardless of the competition, the whole purpose of the Fall Festival is to celebrate the harvest. Remember that, okay~?"
"Of course!" they all nodded their heads.
As for Lamia Scale, their Master, Ooba Babasaama, had not come to Crocus due to her old age and so in the placement of her, she had sent Jura along with Lyon and Sherria. Needless to say, Jura was decided to spin it for not only was he chosen by Ooba Babasaama but also, he was one of the ten wizard saints.
