In a world founded by light and darkness, where magic beyond one's imagination exists, a princess was born.
The queen is staring down at her newborn baby, fascinated by how alluring and ethereal her beauty is. 'The princess surely got her looks from me,' she thought with a bittersweet smile, a hint of sadness shadowing her joy.
Her thoughts were interrupted by an unusual noise. She roamed her eyes, examining every corner of the room- observing the palace using her enhanced senses. With that, she immediately knew, what was going on.
"Queen... I'm afraid they..." Kahila, her loyal servant, couldn't bring herself to tell the queen about the war that just started. The queen smiled.
"I know Kahila, I know..." The queen was smiling but her eyes were not. The strongest queen alive felt a wave of fear—not for herself, but for her realm, and her child's safety.
Currently, she's weak. Giving birth took most of her energy, and she couldn't fight like she used to. She stared at her daughter once more. Tears build up as she caresses the delicate skin of her child.
"I'm sorry for passing this heavy burden to you, my child..." she started. "But you're our only hope," she whispered as a tear fell from her eye. "Don't hate me too much..."
"They're in the borders now, Your Highness and the King is still nowhere to be found." Kahila said. The queen nodded.
The queen took out a necklace and placed it on the child's neck. "I love you, Twilight." She said softly as she kisses her child goodbye.
War was inevitable, it was meant to happen. The conflict between the Queen of Light and the Queen of Darkness led everything to chaos, and eventually... war.
"Kahila, take my child to the mortal realm." The queen ordered. "P-please protect her. This is my last order." she pleaded while crying. Kahila kneeled in front of her queen for the last time.
"I will Your Highness, I will protect her with my life, and I will teach her with your teachings," Kahila said on the verge of crying. She took the child and opened a portal to the mortal realm. "U-until we meet again, Y-your Highness." Kahila said.
"Thank you, Kahila..."
Then Kahila jumped into the portal.
Right after Kahila was gone, the Queen of Darkness appeared bringin darkness with each step. "Long time no see, Tanyah." She said with a mischievous smile plastered on her face. "My niece? Where's my lovely niece?"
"Uliyah... You will never find her." The Queen of Light gathered her life force and remaining energy to land a critical attack on her sister and her army. Unleashing a power greater than she could wield, the light attack swept the dark people far away from the Kingdom, in the Dark Realm. But as a consequence of her attack, it took her life.
In her last moments, the queen felt a sense of peace, knowing she had managed to defend their realm. Meanwhile, On the other hand, the Queen of Darkness is furious, her whole body ached. She swore to kill her sister's child no matter what it takes.

Anyway, this book is my first ever fantasy story, maybe you will find this cringe especially because I wrote this story when I was 12 (I finished it when I was 15), but maganda naman siguro HAHAHAH I received a lot of feedback as I was writing pa the story and I am truly thankful to those people na grabe yung support, compliments and opinions sa story ko. I appreciate every one of you for reading LA:TLPOI and I hope and pray for everyone's success.

I'm still working on this story for the revisions and hindi pa ako nakalahati. Again, the chapters without titles are already revised so can check those out, however, the remaining chapters are really hard to read and understand, but they get better along the way.
