**Carter's POV**
The wedding is next weekend and I'm so excited. Ryan and I are so excited to finally be married. We've decided to do our honeymoon on Christmas break that way I have 2 weeks off from work.
"Ryan!" I called from the bedroom
"Yes?" He said coming in
"My mom just texted me and said that my dad isn't coming to the wedding"
"Why not?"
"She said he doesn't approve of you and that he can't take time off of work"
"That's sorry of your own father"
"I don't really care. I don't need him"
Ryan just kissed my cheek "have you heard back from the doctor?"
"Yes, he said we can start the process in January. He thinks I'll be able to carry our baby"
"Are you serious?" Ryan asked smiling
"Yes! It'll be a high risk pregnancy but he thinks I'll be ok"
"That's so amazing. Things are really looking up for us, huh baby?"
I nodded "they finally are."
"Well, why don't we join together and give thanks" Ryan said smirking climbing on top of me
"Ok, but make it quick" I said kissing him
The next day
I'm working on some paper work at work. I have 2 new students coming in and need to prepare for them.
"Miss. Carter, I know your very busy with paper work and wedding stuff but do you have a minute?" The principle asked
"Of course. What's going on?"
"You know the teacher who has the hearing impaired kids is retiring after this year right?"
"Yeah, I'm aware"
"I know that you know sign language so I was wondering if you wanted to take her position"
"Can I take a few days to think about it? Maybe give you an answer after the wedding?"
"That works. Have a good rest of your night."
"Thank you. You too"
I finished up some more work then went home.
"It smells good in here!!" I said walking in
"I cooked you dinner" Ryan said smiling
"I can't wait I'm so hungry"
"Well let's eat"
"How was work?" Ryan asked sitting down at the table
"The principal asked me to take the hearing impaired kids next year. I told her I'd give her an answer after the wedding, and I wanted to talk to you about it first"
"Will it effect anything? Like what will be different?"
"Nothing other than my lesson plans and I'll have to sign a lot of stuff"
"Do you know sign language?"
"Yeah, I learned in college"
"Then go for it! Carter you need to do this"
"Ok, but I'm still not telling anyone until after the wedding"
"I can't believe we're getting married in a few days"
"I can't either. I love you so so much"
"I love you too"
"I'm going over to Ryan and Balz's Friday"
"I know. Balz is going to take me to dinner he said"
"Well, you guys have fun, but not to much fun" I said smiling
"No promises, Carter"
