Chapter 33

**Carter's POV**

It's now mid January and school is back in full swing. The word about my pregnancy is now out and everyone knows. Including Ryan's fans. Which terrifies me, but we have gotten a lot of positive words from fans. My dad however still isn't talking to me, but my mom has been checking in on me and the baby. Ryan's friends have had mixed reactions. All of them good don't get me wrong, but Chris was a little nervous that Ryan wouldn't be as focused on the band and Gaia and Kylie acted happy but reality is they could care less and I know it by their reaction, but it doesn't bother me. Ryan Ashley, Jamie, Ryan, Ricky, Balz, Vinny, and the rest of my friends and Ryan's friends are excited and that's all my baby needs.

"Miss. Carter can we go outside?" One of my students asked

"In about 5 minutes we're gonna go outside, ok?"

"Okay!!"

"Do you have recess duty today?" Tayler asked

"No, but you have any issues with the kids bring them in"

"Ok, sounds good"

"How's everything now with the baby coming?" Katie asked

"Good, but Ryan is on tour right now, and that tour ends in April then he starts another one some time in June"

"Are you kidding!? When's your due date?"

"May 21. So im glad he'll probably be in the country when I'm giving birth"

"Carter that's good at least!! Who is gonna be in the room with you?"

"Ryan for sure and Jamie wants to be but we'll see"

"I wish you luck giving birth can be scary" Katie said

"Thanks, now do you wanna take the kids outside?"

Katie and Tayler took the kids out to play and I called Ryan

"Whats up, babe"

"I just feel overwhelmed and I wanted to hear your voice"

"Are the kids bad today?"

"No, but I think it's really sinking in that I'm pregnant and we're expecting a real life human"

Ryan chuckled "you got this babe. You're the strongest women I know"

"Where are you?"

"In the middle of California"

"I hate you sometimes"

Ryan laughed "I miss you so much"

This is the first time Ryan and I have been apart since we got married and neither of us are taking it well.

"I miss you too"

"Babe, I gotta go"

I sighed "Ok, call me after you get off stage"

"I always do. I love you"

"I love you too"

I hung up and looked down at my growing baby bump.

"I wish your daddy didn't have to be gone so much. I really need him right now"

"Carter?"

I quickly wiped my tears and turned around "hey, what's up?"

"I was just gonna ask how that meeting went for your new kid?" Alex asked

"It went ok. They said they just wanna work on his social skills so hopefully he'll be a good addition"

"Can I treat you to dinner tonight?"

"I don't know"

"I'm not hitting on you I promise. I can just see your upset"

"Thanks, but I was actually gonna go see my friend after work"

"Ok, Carter see you later"

That was weird and awkward.
