**Ryan's POV**
Carter's dad just stood there and looked at me as if I had grown another head.
"Who do you think you are? I'm Carter's father and I want to see her"
"Carter doesn't wanna see you. When you start to make an effort with your kid maybe she'll allow you to meet our son, but until you're ready to be a father leave us alone."
Carter's dad just rolled his eyes
"Now if you'll excuse me I have a baby to take care of"
I went back to Carter's room to see Aiden peacefully sleeping in the little bassinet next to Carter.
"Is everything ok?" Carter asked
"Your dad wanted to come back here, but I told him no"
"Thank you for taking care of that for me"
"You're welcome"
"Well I better go. Your dad's waiting. I'll call soon" Carter's mom said then left
"How are you feeling?" I asked Carter
"Like I just shoved a human out my body"
"Why don't you get some sleep. I'll watch over the baby while you nap"
"Thanks babe. That sounds nice."
**Carter's POV**
I woke up and heard Ryan talking to the baby. My back was to Ryan so I don't think he knew I could hear him
"I can't wait to teach you how to play baseball, and learn to play guitar. If you want to of course. Your gonna have the best life. I promise"
I sat up in the hospital bed which wasn't very comfortable.
"Have a good nap?"
"Yeah, how's the baby"
"He's good. Showing off his grey eyes"
"Mine were grey when I was born too"
Ryan came and sat on my bed with me, and I admired the little boy who Ryan was holding in his tattooed arms
"My baby" I said stroking Aiden's cheek
"I'm so glad we were able to have him"
"Me too. He's so perfect"
"I just wanna take him home. Hospitals suck"
"The doctors came in when you were sleeping. They said if Aiden and you are still doing well we can take him home in the morning."
"That makes me happy"
"Oh, my mom is here by the way. She just went down to her car to get a gift she got him"
"Oh, Carter! Your awake! Aiden is so beautiful" Ryan's mom said walking in
"Thank you. He takes after his daddy" I said smiling at Ryan
"Do you two need anything food an extra pair of clothes?" Ryan's mom asked
"I'm ok, babe do you need anything?" Ryan asked me
"I don't need anything right now, but if you could come over tomorrow when we get home that would be nice though"
"Are you sure?"
"Of course. You raised an amazing son. I wanna learn from the best"
"Then I'll be there" she said smiling
Ryan's mom went home a few hours later and Ryan and I laid in the hospital bed with Adien.
"Here's to our forver, Carter"
"To our forever." I said kissing him
