Chapter 7

**Carter's POV**

"I can't believe he would even try to talk to you. He's crazy" Tayler said

"I know, and your happy with Ryan." Kelly added

"He knows you're with Ryan right?" Jamie asked

"He probably doesn't. I blocked him on all my social media when we broke up, but it isn't his business anyway. He doesn't need to know I'm with someone else. All he needs to know is I don't want him"

"True, and Vinny is way cuter than him anyway" Kelly said

"Yea- wait Vinny?" I asked

Tayler blushed "we've kinda been talking since you got out of the hospital"

Jamie and I exchanged looks "Little Vinny is growing up" Jamie said

I laughed "I wonder when they'll be home"

"I don't know, but I'll get out of your hair and you can enjoy Ryan" Tayler said grabbing her bag

"Yeah, I'm gonna go too." Kelly said following Tayler

"Are you gonna go wait for Ricky?" I asked

"Yeah, I should probably go cook for him since your cooking for Ryan"

I laughed "It's so quiet without my mom here"

"Well, I'm sure with Ryan coming home it'll liven up the house a little"

"Yeah, and we're going to be very busy with the move and everything"

"Did you find a house?"

"We put an offer in on one, but we haven't heard back. I've been waiting for Ryan to get home before I called them about it"

"Well let us know when you're ready to move and Ricky and I will help"

"Thank you Jamie I appreciate it"

"You're welcome, now I'm gonna go home and cook since you take the whole 'being a good girlfriend' to a while other level"

I chuckled "Well when the boys get home and settled we'll get together for dinner or something"

"Sounds good. Bye Carter!!"

An hour later

I'm finishing up dinner right now. Ryan should be here soon

"Man, did I miss you" I felt to hands around my hips and a deep voice in my ear

I jumped but I felt calm as soon as I noticed the tattoos on his fingers "you scared me" I said turning around and facing Ryan

"Sorry" he said kissing me

His lips pressed against mine for the first time in what felt like forever.

"It's good to be home" Ryan said smiling

"I missed you"

"I missed you too. You're a way better kisser than those guys"

I raised my eyebrows "you kissed the other boys?"

"No. Not recently anyway"

I laughed "y'all did a lot of crazy stuff back then"

"You have no idea. Now can I eat this lovely meal you've prepared "

"Yes we can" I said getting out the plates

Ryan made himself a plate and I made me a plate and we sat down

"How was tour?"

"Good, but I'm happy to be home"

"Good, I'm glad everything went well"

Ryan's phone began to ring "it the realtor"

"Hopefully we got the house"

Ryan answered the phone. The phone call that had the power to change our lives.

So, I've been think for a while now actually that I maybe want to try my hand at a one shot book? This story would be my #1 priority but I don't know. What do you think?? I'll probably do the first chapter on my own but I'll accept requests as well. So if you'll read it let me know and I'll get it up.
