**Carter's POV**
I've been pacing the floor all night it's now almost 6 in the morning and Ryan still hasn't returned. I was about to call him again when I heard the lock unlock.
"Hey babe" Ryan said leaning in for a kiss but I moved the opposite direction.
"What's your problem?" He asked
My mouth fell open when he asked me that. I stood there in complete shock.
"You did not just ask me that" I said crossing my arms
Ryan just stood there.
"I've been trying to call you all night. I've been over here worried sick about you not knowing if your alive or dead in some ditch somewhere because you and A.J. can't answer the phone when I call so you tell me, Ryan what my problem is"
"I'm sorry. Ok. Me and A.J. went up to the cabin and we didn't have any cell service up there, and when we got back my phone died"
"How could you be so, so irresponsible!! Here I am worried that my husband the father of my unborn child is dead before I even got the chance to tell him I was pregnant and all you can say is sorry?" I wiped the tears that were now running down my cheeks and went upstairs to my room and slammed the door
It took a while for the word to sink in. This isn't the way I wanted to tell him, but it was how I was feeling at the time and I was so frustrated with him.
"Carter? Can I come in?" Ryan asked lightly knocking on the door.
I ignored him and just continued to lay on the bed
Ryan opened the door and sat on the bed with me.
"I'm really sorry. I should've known better. We just went out for one drink, but then some of our other friends came and they were going to the cabin so I went with them. I should've just came home to you"
I just continued to glare at him.
"I'll let you get some sleep. Im sure your exhausted" he said kissing my head
I grabbed his wrist before he could walk away "I want you to lay with me"
"Are you sure?"
I just nodded and Ryan came and laid by me.
"Just for the record, I'm so excited that you're carrying our baby"
"I shouldn't have told you like that. I actually got you a gift" I got up and handed him the box
Ryan slowly opened it "baby Nike's that look like mine"
"The doctor said the baby looks good so far"
"Do you know when the baby is coming?"
"May sometime. Late May of next year"
"I feel like such a jerk" Ryan said
"It's ok, but don't you ever do that to me again!"
"I promise." Ryan leaned in to kiss me, and my lips met his
"I love you, Ryan"
"I love you too, both of you" Ryan said placing his hand on my stomach
