"Psst, Diana, you up yet?" Jaclyn whispered in Diana's ear as Diana opened her eyes and looked to her left towards the window, to see that she was still on the plane"What is it, Jaclyn?"
"I just wanted to know if you were comfortable or not, with Vance all up on you and everything."
"He might not be sleeping." She whispered and Jaclyn purses her lips
"Girl please, he's knocked out and ain't no way he can hear me. He's been in that same slumped over position for the past two hours."
"What do you want, Jaclyn?" Diana yawned
"I want to know if you're alright? You haven't said much since we took off and you haven't been acting like yourself lately. Is there something you want to talk about?"
Diana sighed, "I just got a lot of things on my mind right now."
"Does one of those things involve that rock on your finger?" She said as Diana looked down at her hand and forgot she still had the ring on and tried to hide it.
"You don't have to lie to me, Diana. So, when are you getting married?"
"I'm not! That's just it! I don't want to get married!" Diana whisper yelled and Jaclyn smiled
"That's perfect! Girl, why are you stressing over something that's an automatic no for you. Did you tell him you don't want to get married?"
"I tried, but he kept going on and on about how happy we'd be together and how things would be perfect for my career and-"
"Career aside Di, you don't have time for any type of marriage let alone with someone like him. I'm not one to put anyone above others, but you are in a totally different lane than this guy. He's not even on your level, why get someone who's a total downgrade."
"If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be at this level."
"Alright I'll admit, he did contribute to you being the successful person that you are now, I will give him that, but it was you who put in the work to make your dreams come true. All of your blood, sweat, and tears made you, Diana. Not some guy who's mooching off his client slash undercover girlfriend." Jaclyn expressed
"I'm not fussing at you or anything but I'm just letting you know that I care about you, whether or not I agree with your actions."
"Thank you, Jaclyn. It's good to know that you still care about me, even though I do dumb shit." Diana said with a small laugh
"Yeah, you better appreciate me, because I'm all you got. You just better hope that your mom doesn't find out about this little situation."
"For the love of everything, Please don't tell my mom! She'll have a fit if she found out."
Jaclyn scoffed, "You're mom?! Uhm, try your scary ass father! If he finds out that you could be possibly getting married and finds out who he is, he'll come find me and ask, 'why did you let my daughter marry this guy?' To which I won't have an answer and then next thing you know, the police will find my body floating in a river somewhere."
Diana laughed, "My dad wouldn't do that to you."
"You apparently don't know your own dad."
"Well, the most he would probably do is cut off your arm," Diana said with a smile as Jaclyn looked at her with a straight face which made Diana start laughing again
