Chapter 25: Not Your Honey

Aiden is never late for anything in his life, he's always on time for everything except for today when he rushed out of Dylan's house with only five minutes left to make it to work on time and he has almost an hour drive

He made it there after an hour and forty five minutes due to traffic and the longer distance. "Hi honey, I'm sorry I'm late. Traffic was backed up and I didn't hear my alarm going off this morning." He said walking up to Lilly's desk as she was staring at the computer

"What did you call me?"

"I said honey."

"My name is Lillian not honey, got it."

He slightly chuckled, "I've been calling you honey for a while now. I know you're still mad at me but I'm really sorry honey-" He said it again as she looked at him with sharp eyes

"I said don't call me that. I'm not your honey, I'm not your sweetie and I'm not your baby, I'm your boss and you will respect me as such and if you come in here late again don't bother coming at all because I'll fire you, got it?!"

"Yes, I got it."

"Good, now get away from me." She said shooing him away as he deeply sighed and turned to leave as this was just breaking his heart to see Lilly so upset and still very much furious with him

He just had to wait a little while longer to approach her and hopefully then she won't be so defensive and hostile with him, but knowing Lilly she may never forgive him for what he did and this scares him the most

"Alright, I'm coming!" Diana said as she answered the door and a big smile came across her face
"Lil, I thought we were gonna meet at the restaurant."

"Well surprise I'm here instead." She smiled as Diana let her in and closed the door behind

"Sweet! I'll order us Chinese food instead, you want the usual right?"

"Yeah that'll be fine." Lilly said as she sat down on the sofa, laid her head back as she willed herself not to cry

"Oh I'm so glad you're here, I have lots to tell you about." Diana smiled while walking back to the living room and she stopped by the sofa
"What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Lilly shook her head as Diana scoffed

"Come on now, we've been sisters for well over twenty years, I know when something's wrong just like you know when something's wrong with me, so what's up?" Diana asked as Lilly started crying and Diana sat down next to her and wrapped her arms around her

"It's alright, I'm here for you. Whatever's the problem we can fix it together, what's the matter?"

"It's my idiotic boyfriend, he's such a liar!"

"What did he do?" She asked wiping her tears away

"He lied to me about wanting to marry me, he said the reason he asked for the money was for the twins and the only reason he said he'd marry me was because that would be the only way to get the money. How lowdown was that? He knew how badly I wanted to get married and then he taunts me with it and had me believing him for an entire month and then says it wasn't true!"

"Wow, that was wrong and very mean of him to do."

"I spent countless hours going through hundreds of books and magazines to find the perfect dress, location, everything and honestly I didn't even care if he gave me the money back I just wanted him to marry me like he said but now I want him to give me back every dollar I ever spent on him, and I wish I could get the time back as well. I wish I never even met him."
