Chapter 28: Quality Time

"You look more and more beautiful everyday." Ryan said to Val as she smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck

"And you look more handsome everyday, it amazes me how a girl like me could get so lucky."

"No baby, I'm the lucky one, you changed my life for the better and I get to not only wake up to your beautiful face every morning, but I also get to make love to a goddess like you." He said as he began to feel on her body

"You're so soft and you smell so good." He whispered in her neck while lightly kissing her as she giggled. He began to unclip her bra, letting the straps fall down her shoulders and onto the floor

"You get more beautiful every day, it's amazing."

"My secret is I never age, I'll stay looking this way even when I'm eighty." She smiled

"Go ahead babe, rub it in. You'll look younger than your age, but I know how old you really are, grandma." He chuckled as she scoffed

"I'm no one's grandma, and I believe that girl of Isaiah's is lying. Who really knows about these scandalous ass girls running around here fucking everything with a dick and letting guys bust all types of nuts in them. I know a hoochie mama when I see one."

"Baby relax a bit. I know you wanna protect your baby but he's a grown man now and he has to learn a few things on his own. We can't keep babying them all their lives or else they'll keep making the same stupid ass mistake and expect us to take care of it for them. We've raised them the best way we could and now it's time for them to get out and do things for themselves."

She sighed, "Yeah, you're right. I just hope he learns from this."

"I have a feeling that he will, but time will tell. Now, can we please stop talking about the kids and can we get busy." He said as she laughed and got in the bed

"Come on tiger, show momma what you got." She waved at him as he groaned and began taking his boxers off

"I hope you're ready because I'm about to eat you up for dinner and bust a nut in that sexy ass of yours for good luck." He said climbing on top of her as he began kissing her lips while feeling down her body

Just as Ryan was about to slide in, his phone rings. He leaned over and turned off the sound without even looking at the screen.

It stopped ringing as they finally were getting it on and then Valerie's phone started ringing. "It's nobody but them damn kids!" Ryan huffed

"Just see what they want, because you know they won't stop calling until they get one of us."

Ryan reaches over on Valerie's side and gets her phone to answer as its none other than Jeremiah.

He loudly groaned as he answered the phone. "Mommy?"

"Guess again."

"Dad, I tried to call your phone but you wouldn't answer."

"I know, I'm a little busy right now, what do you want?" Ryan said as Valerie tried to get him to go back to having sex by pulling on him

"I really need your help, you think you could spare a few minutes?"

"No, I told you I can't."

"Please dad, it's really important. It'll only take but a few minutes, I really need you."

He sighed, "Alright, but this is the final time, the rest I'm not helping you."

"Thanks dad, I owe you one for this." Jeremiah said as he hung up and Ryan put the phone back on the nightstand as Valerie smiled

"It's about time, now we can finally finish." She said as he began to scoot back

"Where you going?"

"Jeremiah needs me."

"Really!? What happened to letting them figure it out on they're own?!"

"This is business babe, nothing personal."

"Well I'm taking it personal because this is interfering with our quality time together. You promised me that when you hand over the business to Jeremiah that you would make time for me!"

"And baby I will, I promise, but he needs me and once he's fully confident in his abilities to lead, he won't need me anymore."

"And how long will that be?"

"It'll take a little more time than I'd hope for but I believe he'll get it together soon enough." He said as she folded her arms and turned her head away from him

"I've been without my husband for over twenty years, you've put business before me and when it's finally time for you to step down I'm still being left at home by myself. I'm done being an afterthought, I'm not sharing you any longer." She said as he sat on the side of the bed and tugged at her arm so she could look at him

"Baby, I promise you this is the last time I'll ever jump up and leave you alone in the middle of the night. I know it hurts and it hurts me to leave but you won't have to worry about that anymore. I made a promise to you and I'm gonna keep it."

"You've got one hour to get back to this house and I mean it." She said fiercely looking at him as he smiled and kissed her cheek

"Yes dear, I'll be back before you know it."

*Four hours later*

1:45am.
"Shit." Ryan looked at the clock as he roughly ran his hand down his face
"She's gonna kill me." He said as he quietly tip toed upstairs and into the room

Once he slowly opened the door he saw her with her back turned sound asleep. He took off his shoes and pants as he slowly and as quietly as he could, slid into bed without waking her up

"Get out." She rasped out as he was shocked

"Baby, I thought you were asleep."

"I told you one hour, and you come back almost five hours later, so get out."

"But baby, I was getting shot at."

"Good, then maybe the next time I tell you to be home in an hour you'll listen."

"Baby I know you're mad at me and I'm sorry." He said sliding over to her and putting a hand on her arm

"No honey I'm not mad, I'm highly pissed off and right now I don't want you in bed with me."

"Come on babe, you know I don't like sleeping away from you."

"I didn't say you had to leave the room. We have plenty of space in here, you can take your pick of where you'd like to go."

"Can we just talk about this?"

"No, I'm done talking because clearly you're not hearing me, so hurry and get your pillow and blanket and find a spot to sleep because it's not with me."

Uh oh, now Ryan's in trouble, how long will this last for him?
