Chapter 01- The one with The Ring and Disasters.

My hands are busy holding the cup and the straw to my lips while I take in the surroundings. My fingers let the straw dangle while I start to speculate my surroundings. The place was dark and poorly lighted and it was purposely lit this way apparently. I had asked as soon as I stepped in, poorly lit places were something everyone tried to avoid, It's human nature. The place wasn't as crowded as I was informed but it wasn't packed lightly either. There were occasional pushes and scrambling of people that did make the place seem more....valid? "Where the fuck is Reggie?" I grumble while my eyes rest on the short haired friend of mine. She only shrugs while continuing to scan the place for our third member. "Nanc, you seem like you are about to get beaten up or something. Calm down." I mumble to my best friend who then quickly stops fidgeting with her straw. "Cara, I specifically told you that I wasn't interested in coming here. Reggie promised to take us to a cool place. This place definitely gives me the goosebumps but it sure as hell does not look like the cool place we usually hangout in." She says furiously while gesturing to the crowded room. Nancy wasn't very aware of our plan only because Reggie knew damn well that Nancy wasn't very keen on spending our last day of vacations watching people fight for fun and money. I on the other hand didn't mind at all, I actually quite frankly have been looking forward to watching this. "Nancy! I am right here. Reggie will be here with our snacks and you can cocoon into your boyfriends arms. Sound fine?" I ask in a slightly annoyed tone. Nancy only purses her lips to this while blushing profusely. Reggie and Nancy had a thing going on but they hadn't made it official and they were trying really hard to keep it a secret. Unfortunately, I could see right through their bullshit and was in fact their best friend. What had they expected? My eyes continue to take in the crowd and look for any familiar faces while my nose tried to block out the smell of men and sweat. "Hey girls." Reggie says while standing beside us with food in his hands. The Underground had the best snacks to entertain their audience while watching the raging fights. Amazing, isn't it? I snatch the snacks away from him as we make our way to our seats. The Ring in the middle while seats surrounded it, seats ascending and descending. Almost like we were in a stadium or something. "Damn Cara. Slow down on that food." Reggie says while staring at me with disbelief. I roll my eyes and let the food rest on my lap while I slap the back of his head. "How are you feeling, Nanc?" Reggie says while draping his arm around her shoulders while pulling her closer to him. Nancy wasn't having any of our shit today. "How do you think I feel, Reg?" She sneers at him but Reggie laughs it off while shoving a candy towards her. "Will this make it up?" He asks and earns a slight smile while she nods slightly.

Couples. I scoff and open the lid to my nachos and dip it before gobbling it. Reggie pulls the container from me and shoves it on his lap. "So all of us can share!" He defends himself and all of us eat it while watching the crowd and the ring intently. A man dressed in a suit walks into the middle of the ring with a microphone, he was the only one dressed nicely. All of us had thrown on some jeans and shirt with a jacket to keep ourselves warm. "WELCOME TO ANOTHER RAGING SHOWDOWN IN D HORNS!" The man screams into the microphone. I lean back on my chair and cross my hands to my chest and watch while Nancy nervously starts to munch on her food. "TODAY WE HAVE 'ULTIMATE' and 'RODEZ' fighting it out. GIVE THE TWO THE CHEERS THEY DESERVE!" The man continues to scream while the audience start to chant the fighters names. "HE'S BIG, STRONG AND HE IS ULTIMATE!" The man introduces while the crowd parts for a guy jogging towards the ring in a robe. "The robe is like for people who earn their place in the underground." Reggie whispers to us and I nod while making an 'ooo' noise. "HE'S CRAZY, WILD AND ALWAYS RAGGGGIIINNG, HE'S RODDDEEEZZZ!" The man introduces before shuffling off the stage. The guy who walks towards the ring looks extremely used to the crowd and a chant begins,
