Chapter 17- The one with the power

I wake up the sound of bickering and the jerk of a car. How the hell did I land myself in Reggie's car? I scrunch my face in confusion and my eyes meet the wildly attractive eyes of Aiden Jackson. I almost smile in relief.  My eyes finally register that I am indeed in Mrs Reinhartt's house.

"If you think you are going to carry me bridal style, you are wrong." I slurr and Aiden cocks his eyebrow at me. He obviously wasn't scared of me. My body hurts too much for me to argue so I just slump to his body while he carries me. Solid, his chest and his abs are so damn solid. I can feel myself blush at the thought of wanting to stay like this.

It doesn't last long as I am ushered to the guest room of Reggie's house. "Someone living here?" I ask and Aiden shrugs. I take in the extremely boring and messy. Clothes scattered everywhere. "How is Mrs Reinhartt still giving you shelter? Has she never stepped into your room?" I ask and he laughs. My fingers twitch. Why do I want to clean this place? "She gives me space. She's never checked the place. Thank God." He says and I nod but all I can think of is wanting to arrange the place.

"DUSTIN!? WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!? DID YOU GUYS SKIP CLASSES!? WHY ARE ALL OF YOU BOYS-" Reggie says while rushing into the room shirtless and from the way he was standing there, I knew what he was doing in his room. Good to know my bestfriends were getting it on. I glance at Aiden who looks like he is so used to this sight, a smile tugs at my lips.

The boys stare at Reggie and Reggie pulls up his shorts consciously. Nancy rushes in the room and I had to give her credit, she atleast tried to look representable. "EW." Mike said and I laughed but my voice was too raspy for my own good. Nancy sits beside me and gives me a once over.

"What the hell happened?" She asks and everyone awkwardly shifts around. "She got into a fight is what." Will says and glares at me. I purse my lips and try to reason with my brother but no words come out. "We'll be down if you guys need anything." Mike says and everyone ushers out of the room.

Mike quickly narrows his eyes at my best friends and leaves. Reggie groans. "Great, the guy doesn't like me too much already and now he knows I was screwing you." Reggie says while pushing his hair back. Nancy cups my face and ignores Reggie's comment.

"Cara, you haven't gotten into a fight in over years. Why?" She says softly but everyone present in the room hears it. My eyes fit to Aiden and he isn't looking at my eyes. He isn't questioning anything and I silently thank him. "I am fine. Look, I dealt with everything just fine okay?" I say and push her hands away from my face.

Nancy looked worried and sad. "Dealt with it? Remember the last time you dealt with it and you got into a fight?" Reggie says and his voice has raised.

They are just worried about you. Just stay quiet and listen to them. They mean nothing but the best for you.

"

Well, it wasn't like the last time and I did have it under control." I say in a whisper looking anywhere else but them. "I will never forgive myself for letting you get like that the last time but I can't stay beside your side while you get reckless again, Cara." Reggie says, his voice still angry and high.

"How many people were there? Did you get hurt? What happened?" Nancy asks and I sigh and don't say anything. "4, she took down 4 guys single handedly and I think she dealt with all of them pretty smoothly. She may have got punched but you should've seen the other guys." Aiden says taking my side quickly.
