Chapter 24- The one with Miss Maggie.

It's been a few days since the soccer incident and Kevin and I have started texting a lot since then. We've become a lot more comfortable around each other now. There was no doubt that we were shamelessly flirting with each other once in a while but there were times when we had proper deep conversations.

"Jeez, Care bear. You've been smiling a whole lot at your phone. Who is it?" Nancy asks and I shrug. I can't hide my smile. Reggie raises his eyebrows. "You are flirting with that guy! Zueez!" He exclaims loudly. He says. We were in class. People start turning towards with glares. Professor glared our way as well. We were supposed to be completing an assignment. I send apologetic glances at everyone. I turn to apologise to the jocks when I see Aiden clenching his jaws tightly. His muscles tense and his hands gripping tightly at the pencil.

I quickly turn back. I give Reggie a face. He sheepishly grins at me. "So?" He asks and I shrug. "GOD. ANSWER US WOMAN!" Nancy whisper yells. "Fine. Yes. I have been." I say defeatedly. "OHMYGOD CARE BEAR ABOUT TO GET KEVIN'S DIIICKKK!" Reggie hollers. The whole class turns to us with wide surprised eyes. I hear a loud thrash from behind us. I turn to see Aiden's table that had fallen and his pencil that was snapped. He quickly walks out of the class. What the hell crawled up his ass? One of the jocks from behind us whistles at me. He starts to show me how a blow job is done. My eyes widen and my head drops to the table with a loud thud. Nancy starts to apologise when the professor growls at us for detention. "ALL OF YOU. DETENTION! NOW!" He says and we quickly leave the room.

Just as I am about to leave, Professor pulls me aside. He hands me all of our detention slips. I look at him with confusion when I notice 4 instead of three. "Hand one to Mr Jackson." He says and shuts door on my face before I can argue.

I hadn't uttered a word to Aiden since he ran away. The words on the book keeping me far away from him. I was hoping he'd break the silence but he never did and so I took the hint and left him alone. I hand Nancy and Reggie their detention slips while receiving a long apology from Reggie. I smirk at this. Surprisingly, I wasn't mad at him. My eyes catch Aiden moving toward his locker. I excuse myself and walk towards him.

My steps cautious. He closes his locker with a bang and looks at me with agitated eyes. I don't shake at the sight of him. Somehow I wasn't scared of him. I push his detention slip towards him without saying a word. He crosses his arms instead of accepting it and letting me leave him alone. I'm trying to avoid his eyes but when I don't get him to take his detention slip, I shove it into his locker cracks. I then give him a proper look. My face clear of any emotion. I see him studying me with intensity. I return the intensity before walking away.

"Welcome to detention, Miss Leviane."   Miss Maggie says and I give her a small smile. Miss Maggie was our librarian and took care of detention part time. "It's been so long since I've seen you here, Cara." She says with a tone that conveys her dissappointment. I bite my lip down and look down in shame. "Ah. Welcome back, Mr Aiden." She says and he ignores her comment. His eyes burning a hole through me.

"What'd you do to get detention?" She asks as I take a seat in the front. Reggie and Nancy were in the middle. I point at Reggie and continue, "Disrupted the class." I say and she laughs. There was another guy here except for the four of us. He was dozing off and Maggie wasn't going to bother. "What about you, Aiden? What now?" She asks and he lifts his gaze from the table. All of us turning our attention to him. He clenches his jaw at the sudden attention. "Stormed out of the class." He says with the slightest hint of embarrassment. I cock my eyebrow at him. This guy felt embarrassment? "Aiden, sweetie, what did I tell you about controlling your anger and walking out of class?" She says softly. Miss Maggie was generally a nice and kind lady. She was young and loving compared to most of the teachers here. "I'll try harder, Miss Maggie." He says in a calm tone.
