[ C A R A 'S P O V ]
Reggie, Nancy and I were sprawled on my bedroom floor. I was laying in between them. "I'm bored." Nancy says while her hands are in Reggie's hair. "Me too." I say. Nancy and I turn to Reggie when we don't hear a word from him. Reggie had his eyes closed. Nancy had successfully made her boyfriend fall asleep. I groan softly.
"Want to ditch Reggie and go to the D Horns?" I ask while sitting up. Nancy sits up too. Her hand hitting Reggie's face jolting him awake. "What?" Reggie says with panic. "We were planning to go to the D Horns." I say and Reggie rubs the sleep away from his face. He looks at his girlfriend to get her approval. She shrugs. "I have the both of you beside me so I think I'll be fine." She sighs with defeat.
Will and Wendy were seated in the living room. Will speaking animatedly about something that had happened in class. Wendy looking at Will with adoration. Her love radiating and giving everything away in her eyes. A small pang in my chest makes me turn away from the scene. Wendy has every right to love Will more than you. Stop being a wuss about it and move on. I gulp down my sadness and run back to my room. "Let's go drown ourselves in distraction." I say facing the couple. They grin at me.

It had become a tradition for us to go to McLean's before D Horns. I can't remember what we used to do before we discovered D Horns. I decide to drink a little to calm my restless mind. "Ease it on the drinks, Care Bear." Reggie says studying me.
"I am having one beer, Reg." I say while rolling my eyes. "Just looking out for you, Cara." He says defensively. I fight back a smile. It's nice to have people who care for me. We share fries and then drive to D Horns. Reggie parks it in the parking lot a building away.
"Stick close to each other. Today's known to be crowded." Reggie says while interlinking Nancy's fingers with his. Excuses to hold his girlfriends hand. I pocket my hands into my jacket. I take a peak at my phone to see if I had missed any texts. Kevin hadn't texted me the whole day. He told me he would be training.
He still kept me in the dark about his training and something inside me told me to not push him into answering me. I was going to give him to answer me whenever he wanted to.

I thought Reggie was lying about the place being crowded but boy was I wrong. The place was stuffed with the smell of sweat, men and alcohol. The smell of cigarettes didn't slip my attention. I fist my hand into my pockets. It's been so long since I smoked and sometimes I'm so tempted to continue but I stop myself.
That's a part of you that you would rather have in the past than in your present. Cigarettes only remind you of the person you were, it'll give away the broken girl you are hiding and we don't want that, Care bear.
I lick my lips and taste the gloss that had been coated there. I stay close to Nancy and Reggie. Reggie holds my hand as well. "One girl at a time, Reggie." I say teasingly. He rolls his eyes. "Never would I want to lose sight of my side chick even with my dream girl; Care bear." He says and I laugh. Reggie and I would joke about and a lot of things but we never felt that feeling between us.
We notice how the fights were taking place in the ring where the seats were surrounding it. "Let's get something to munch on or sip on." Nancy suggests. We head to the stand where a crowd is surrounded. I tip toe and my eyes reach Falcon. "HIJA!" He says and my eyes sparkle with light. The crowd immediately splits up to let us pass through. "Hija! Been a while since I saw you around. Sully and Kaluuya haven't stopped talking about you since." He says and my chest fills with warmth. I missed those two teddy bears.
