I finally come to a halt and rest in the swing. I had walked for an over two hours. I started getting calls and texts from Reggie and Nancy from the last five minutes. Maybe dad must've told them everything when they dropped by. Maybe Dad's already left. My phone was almost dying so I shove it into the almost empty bag.

My locker contained all my books and I didn't bring any of my books back because I had stormed off. I see a small girl running off to the smaller swings and giving me a toothless smile and I smile back at her. "Sofia!" A voice calls after her and joins her, she was really young to but maybe two years older than Sofia. "How many times do I have to tell you not to run away like that?" The elder girl says while pouting and panting.

My chest aches at the sight. I miss Del. "I didn't run away." Sofia mumbles and I can't help but smile at the two. "You are probably going to end up running away when we grow up. Promise me you won't." The girl says as she holds out her pinky. Sofia puts her pinky and promises. We've had that conversation before and coincidently enough, I was always the one to run away when I was smaller.

Look how the tables turned now.

I finally give in and reach my phone to text Del. When I pick my phone up, my phone appears to be dead. "I don't even know where I am." I say to myself quietly. I had walked for 2 hours with no navigation with too many emotions to control my mind. Great, now I have to find my way back home with my super painful legs.

"Cara?" I turn to the voice behind me. "Del?" I ask with surprise extremely evident. "Why are you here in this part of the neighbourhood?" She asks as she joins me on the swing. "I urm-" Quick! Tell a convincing lie. "Wanted to take a walk." I say quickly. Del scoffs. "You never come to this side and you never go on walks alone." She says and I shrug. Guess my sister knows me better than I know.

"Everything okay?" She asks and I'm about to come up with lies when she interrupts me; "just be honest with me, Cara." She says and I let out a sigh. "It's all happening all over again." I say softly and I see my sister turn to my side from her peripheral vision. "What is?" She asks softly, almost soothing me. I close my eyes tightly. "It's like when I lost control when mom left." I don't know if I'm audible or if Del heard me but I don't get a response back so I continue.

"I feel like I'm alone again. Reggie and Nancy don't understand and we are having some stupid fights again and it's because of me." I pause but I don't open my tightly shut eyes.

"Dad's going back already and you were right." I say and this gets a reply from her. "Right about what?" She asks and I open my eyes and let out a sigh. "He does have favourites now." I say and she shakes her head laughing softly. "You find this funny?" I ask her with a slight anger. "Cara; I knew nothing back then. Leviane definitely does not have favourites." She says and I turn to her. "Dad didn't contact you for a long time after you left. Dad remarried Wendy within the short span. He loves William so much more. I am not an idiot to not have realised all this." I say and she sighs.

"What's with the sudden wake up call?" She asks with a small smile. She was trying to cheer me up. "I guess I always knew all of this but I was living in denial." I say and she reaches out and holds my hand. "You are wrong about one thing you know." She says and I look at her confused. She stands up in front of me now so I look up at her. She cups my face and then pulls on my cheek.

"You are not alone anymore." She says softly and that's enough to start the water works I had been ignoring all this time. I missed mom and I missed Delivigne so much, I never wanted to let them go. I hug her waist tightly and cry into her jacket. I hear her chuckle to hide the sniffs that have overtaken her.
