[ C A R A 'S P O V ]
Over a week has passed and the weekend has seeped in. Reggie and Nancy are cuddled up in Nancy's bed. We tried avoiding Nancy's house as much as we could. Their parents weren't.....people we wanted to stick around with but when Nancy insisted we come over, we decided it would be better. Nancy only called us over because her parents weren't around.
"What do you guys want to do?" Nancy asks and I groan. I was so tired of being constantly freaked about the words marked on Aiden's book.
"I want some action." Reggie says and I grimace and shake my head as I narrow my eyes at Reggie and Nancy. Nancy instantly blushes at this. "I didn't mean that for once." He says and I laugh. "I could use a distraction." I say and Nancy's face softens almost immediately.
Great. Sympathy. Why is everyone looking at me like I lost someone? It's just Aiden. There was nothing going on between us.
"Let's go to the D Horns." Nancy says and Reggie and I immediately look at Nancy wide eyed. She giggles. "All of us want some action and distraction." She says shrugging. Reggie grins at me.
Why did Aiden have to be a fighter? Push his thoughts away and distract yourself with some fight.
I give two thumbs up and all of us hurry to get out. "I'm hungry." I say as Nancy goes to get changed and Reggie and I are sprawled on her couch. "Didn't we just eat?" He asks. His eyes finally lift from his phone and he rolls his eyes.
"Yeah yeah! Big appetite. Growing child. Blah blah." He says. He finally consoles me by telling me he'd get me something on the way. All of us finally head out to the D'Horns." Reggie moving his head with the song playing on the radio. Nancy shotgun. Me riding in the back with my hair flying. I felt like we were in a movie for a few minutes, until my hair started slapping me in the face in the process.
"We should go to McLean's." I say after a while of silence. Reggie looks at me from the rear view mirror. "You've gone there?" He asks and I nod without meeting his eyes. Delivigne had brought me there the last time. She hadn't tried to contact me ever since the last incident.
Reggie shrugs and then drives us to the bar. Nancy humming along to the Taylor Swift song in the car. I wasn't a fan of her but I didn't dislike her either. Her songs were too catchy to hate. I roll my eyes at Nancy who's wiggling her eyebrows at me. Nancy should be protected. Her heart and mind to innocent and beautiful to be harmed.
Reggie smiles at her with his eyes warm. I smirk at this. All of us finally hop out of the car. I poke Reggie's side with my elbow and wink at him suggestively while motioning to Nancy. "WHIPPED." I say and he groans at me.
"Shut up, Care bear." He says and we take a seat in the bar. The bar served the best food as well. The waiter looked like our age and he headed to the seat. "Bro!" The guy says as he looks at Reggie. Reggie lifts his head and his smirk makes its way.
Reggie knew everybody from the campus ground. Reggie is very loveable and hard to ignore. Reggie and the brunette haired boy talk about the football match which is to happen in a few months. YES. MONTHS!
I look at the boy with slight frustration. My fingers intertwined and making a bridge and I let my head weigh down my hands. I watch the brown haired boys' slicked back hair. He had a defined jawline but not protruding and it wasn't entirely defined either. I clear my throat after running out of patience.
