I was waiting for a taxi that night, exactly eleven thirty pm, not to far from the place I'm working right now. I can't go to Vanessa's place tonight, she'll bring a friend, and us usual, it's a guy. New flavored of the month.
Marami rami pa naman akong kasabay mag abang ng taxi kaya hindi naman ako natatakot, slightly dim kasi sa lugar kung saan ako nag aabang ng taxi, pero as time passes by, only three of us were left. Yung iba nag uunahan makasakay para makauwi na, I let them. Tutal, I'm not in a hurry naman. Sinasadya ko naman talaga ang magpa late ng uwi.
Dahil kay Edward.
"Hey gorgeous, hop in", si Seth, lulan ng bagong modelong sasakyan na bigla nalang nag stop sa tapat ko.
"Seth", I greeted back, giving him a straining smile.
"Come on", asking me again.
I actually----avoiding him. It's not that I don't like him. I do like him----as a friend. Gusto ko muna ng space -----space para sarili ko. I wanted to know kung ano ba talaga siya sa buhay ko.
Maybe Edward and I are not in good terms, but still ayaw kong gumawa ang isang bagay na pagsisisihan ko. Maybe he fooled me, but I won't do the same.
"Hey-----are you there?", he shouted and it brings me back to myself.
"Yeah", I opened the passenger seat, accepting his offer to take me home, again. I don't have a choice----I think. It's getting late and less chance na maka grab ako ng taxi. And nakakatakot din naman mag antay ng taxi mag isa.
"So, you and your husband?", he started a conversation that I preferred not to talk about once I get in.
"What about us?", I replied,.
"Are you and him, I mean are you ok now or still....", he paused.
"Don't worry, we're still the same if that's what you want to hear", I say, telling him the truth.
"Does it ever crossed your mind about living alone. I mean, moving to other place", he said while continously driving.
"What do you mean by that?", asking him back.
"Forget it. I think I'm crossing the line. So....are you free tomorrow night?", he asked again, as he take a quick glance.
"I think I'm not",
"Oh. Are you planning to go somewhere else or", he keep asking while making a left turn.
