Harry's point of view - Flashback

Harry and Draco were outside at night watching the stars. Harry was leaning onto Draco's shoulder. He liked it. Being all alone with the one he loved. The problem was all those things in their way, and what Draco was hiding from him. Made him hesitate if Draco really was the one for him. But he loved him so much it hurt.

Draco wrapped his arm around him.

"Sometimes I wish that every day of my life could be like this," he said.

"Me too. If only things were easier," said Harry. Draco turned his head to him and leaned in for a kiss. They kissed for a while before harry broke off.

"When are you going to tell me what you're hiding from me?" he said though he knew that question would be risky.

"I can't. Can we talk about something else?"

"Draco, if this has something to do with Voldemort you should realize that this ain't gonna work out." Draco looked like he was about to say something but couldn't figure out what.

"Can we please change the subject?" he said.

"Draco..." said Harry and laid his hand on his back.

"Say nothing," said Draco and kissed him. "Merlin, I love you so much."

"You're doing it again," said adult Draco who kept Harry company on christmas day.

"Doing what?" said Harry in confusion.

"You're thinking about the past. I can see the look on your face."

Harry didn't feel like talking about it. Instead he wanted to focus on what was going on right now.

"Have you told Scorpius? About us?" he asked.

"No," said Draco about to lose his speech. "I haven't. I don't even think he's ready... to know about us."

"I don't think Albus is either, but he needs to know the truth. Even if he would never forgive me..."

"Why is that?"

"Well maybe because Albus would rather call Scorpius his boyfriend then him becoming his brother," said Harry as if it was obvious.

"Well that's not really what I meant. What I mean to say is that they're not brothers for real. They're not blood related so I don't see the problem."

"Do you really think they agree with you?"

"I'm more worried about what Scorpius would think of another parent. You may realize that the loss of Astoria is still hard for him, and no one is ever going to replace her."

"I'm sorry. I didn't think that far. But whatever's going on they need to know."

There was a silence. Before Draco broke the silence by saying something that he said at christmas during their first year at Hogwarts, but in a nicer and more obvious way.

"I feel bad for those kids who need to stay in school for christmas. Since their parents doesn't want them home."

No explanations in need since Harry knew exactly what he meant. He was right. Albus was still in school because Harry didn't welcome him home. He felt awful, just like he did back when he told him that he wished he weren't his son. He sighed and buried his face in his hands.

"I really am a terrible father."

"No, you're not," said Draco rubbing his back in support. "You just need more time with him. Time to understand each other."

Scorpius's point of view

A day had passed and tomorrow the boys were going to Hogsmeade. Albus seemed a bit tensed of whatever his dad was going to tell him. They tried not to think about it too much. Instead they found themselves in Albus's bed practicing some spells. Just as Albus was about to raise his wand Scorpius accidentally bumped him so he dropped it. It fell down to the floor and rolled under the bed.

"Nice one," Scorpius teased.

"Oh shut up," said Albus as he made his way under the bed to pick it up. "Scorpius? Did you put this book here?"

"What?" Scorpius was really confused right now.

"There's a book buried under the floor, under my bed," he said and when he was back up again Scorpius found an old dusty book in his hands.

"Let me see," he said and tried to take it from him but Albus stopped him.

"I found this first!" Scorpius couldn't help but laughing at how childish he sounded. Albus opened the book. "Property of Draco Malfoy. So it's your dad's old book."

Scorpius was way more curious now. A letter fell out from the book and this time Scorpius was quick to grab it. He read the envelope and noticed it was for his dad, but there was no sign of who wrote it. Albus took a look as well.

"Wait a minute," said Albus. "That's my dad's handwriting. Means it must've been he who wrote it."

"Must be something very special if he kept it hidden," said Scorpius.

Albus snapped the letter from him and opened it. They read it together. It said... something that neither of them would ever expect. After they finished it they looked at each other in shock.

"Your dad... and... my dad..." said Albus unable to finish.

"That's the answer of that question," said Scorpius realizing that there never was a 'third' person in this.

"Your dad was the guy my dad was in love with," Albus forced himself to say. "But... that's not possible. They hated each other!"

"Apparently they didn't."

It was hard for Scorpius to believe it as well. A bit creepy it felt. The fact that his dad once dated Albus's dad.

This might be one of the most important chapters of this story since I totally agree with Draco. I think the loss of Astoria is a bigger problem in their relationship than this step brother thing. Let's see if the boys will agree or not!
