Harry's point of view
Harry found himself in the kitchen, making dinner. Albus, Scorpius and Draco would be here any minute. Lily was helping her mother making the table ready.
Later he heard the door open as he saw Albus storming in along with Draco and Scorpius. They were all wet.
"Hello there. Smells good in here," Draco greeted.
"Hi there. Just in time for dinner," said Harry. "Looks like it's raining outside."
"You should know!" said Albus as he took a seat. "So how is it going? Dinner's ready soon?"
"Albus!" Ginny snapped.
"What? I'm hungry."
Scorpius laughed as he took a seat next to him.
"It's ready now. Can someone tell James to come down?"
"No need to, dad. I'm right here," said James as he entered the kitchen.
"Well look at you. You can walk!" Albus joked.
"No I crawled in here," said James and rolled his eyes.
After dinner Albus brought Scorpius outside as it stopped raining. Harry was watching them through his bedroom window. We saw them sitting there, laughing and talking. He couldn't help but smile. He had never seen his son this happy for ages, which made him glad that he was happily in love with someone. Nothing would get in their way.
"I know what you're thinking," he heard Draco from behind.
"How can you be so sure?" he said.
Draco was standing beside him now and looked out as well. Scorpius was lying on the ground as Albus was halfway on top of him, running his hand through his hair, kissing him.
"You don't think I know you well?" said Draco. "You see us in them. Don't you?"
"What we had, yeah," he admitted. "Besides the fact that it wasn't easy for us. They should realize how lucky they are."
"I really want the best for Scorpius, you know. Don't want his love life to be as unfortunate as mine was. First you. And then Astoria..."
"I'm really sorry," said Harry not taking his eyes off the window.
"It's been worse for Scorpius. That's why he needs Albus."
Flashback
Harry was on his way to Slughorns christmas party, though he did not look forward to it at all. He would rather see what Malfoy was up to. He didn't even have a date, but he didn't mind that. Suddenly he bumped into Malfoy in the corridor.
"Sorry," said Harry Wait what? Did he just apologize to him?
"No problem," said Draco. Wait... was he actually... being nice? "What brings you here an evening like this?"
"I could ask you the same," said Harry.
"I was thinking of going out for a walk," he said though he seemed to be hiding something.
Harry couldn't figure out why, but somehow he thought that he would rather join Malfoy outside than going to the party.
"Me too actually," he lied.
"In those dress robes?" said Malfoy with a grin. Why was he being so nice? Was there another part of him that was only visible when they were alone?
"It's a long story," said Harry.
"Will you keep me company?" Draco asked which took Harry long to reply.
"Okay then," he said.
