Harry's point of view - Flashback

Harry was pleased that both Ron and Hermione knew about him and Draco. The problem was... how could he love someone from the wrong side? There was no answer for that. He just did.

During potions class he realized that Draco tried to avoid looking at him. Something was wrong. Or maybe his friends still didn't know.

After the class Harry left the classroom along with Hermione. Ron had already left along with Lavender. Suddenly he felt someone grabbing his arm.

"Harry." Harry turned his head. I was Draco. "Can we talk? Alone?" Harry turned his head to Hermione.

"You go on. I'll see you later," he said. She nodded and left.

Draco brought him to a corner where no one could disturb them.

"You know that I love you and want the best for you right?" he began. "That's why I think you're better off without me."

"What? What's that supposed to mean?"

"It's not that I'm leaving for good. I just think it's best for both of us to pretend that nothing ever happened between us."

"Don't say that, Draco!" said Harry and stepped closer. "We can get through this together."

"Harry, I can't. You're safer without me."

"You're safe on the good side," Harry pointed out.

"It's complicated," Draco said looking down.

"Draco..." said Harry and tried to make eye contact.

"Let's end this here," said Draco straight to his face like he meant it. Harry looked at him, full of pain and disappointment.

"Fine," he said and stormed out with his eyes filled with tears.

He entered the Gryffindor common room and found Ginny sitting in the couch. No one else was there.

"Have you seen Hermione?" Harry asked her.

"She's in the library studying. She'll probably be back soon."

"Brilliant. I'll just wait here then." Ginny looked at him.

"Are you okay? Your eyes seem very red and puffy."

"It's nothing," said Harry cracking his voice.

"Come and sit down," Ginny offered. Harry took a seat beside her. "What happened?"

Harry told her the whole story from the beginning, with detailed explanations on his feelings. All Ginny did was sitting there and listened to him, and comforted him.

Harry now found himself in the leaky cauldron along with Draco, who waved his hand infront of his eyes.

"Another flashback?" he assumed.

"What else?" said Harry and tried to focus on the other things. "Heard anything else from Scorpius?" Draco shook his head.

"Not a single owl. What about Albus?"

"Nothing. I wonder how they are at this point."

"Me too," said Draco and put his hand on Harry's.

"Mind if I sit down?" they heard a familiar voice say. They looked up and found Neville Longbottom standing there. He lived there with his wife Hannah since she had taken over the pub.

"Neville!" Harry greeted happily. "Good to see you. Have a seat." Neville took a seat across from them.

"How are you? Long time no see," said Neville.

"Not gonna lie," Harry began. "I'm feeling fine, I suppose. It's just a lot of things going on. So what about you?"

"I'm good. Just met Dean and Seamus before they left," said Neville.

The conversation went on about them, the ministry, and lots of other things.

"So what about Hogwarts?" Harry asked. "Do my children behave?"

"Well your son James is still the same old James. Won't get enough of his pranks. Lily on the other hand has learned a lot in herbology."

"That's brilliant. Always been her favourite subject. What about Albus?"

"He's learned a lot as well and his grades are getting better. Although he's been a bit lonely lately," said Neville.

"Lonely?" Draco questioned. "What about Scorpius?"

"Haven't seen them together in a while. I've tried to talk to Albus about this but he says he's fine walks off every time. I've noticed that Scorpius seems to spend a lot of time with Miss Price."

"Miss Price?" said Draco. "Christian Price's daughter?"

"Yeah. Bianca Price. And they seem to be more than friends." Harry and Draco looked at each other in shock.

"I think we've missed something," said Harry.
