Chapter 44

Albus's point of view

Albus was still in the hospital wing. He was still in pain because of the scars, but felt like he was recovering. Although he still thought about Delphi. Was she really dead? What if there was a way for her to return?

He was lying on his side looking at the roof, while Scorpius, who was sitting beside his bed, ran his hand through his hair. He made a promise to check on him every day, to show him that he was there for him.

"How are you feeling?" he asked.

"I can't get the picture out of my head," Albus told him.

"What picture?" Albus took a deep breath.

"I had a nightmare. The night I left. You were in it and Delphi..." He tried to catch his breath. "She used the cruciatus curse on you. She also had Diana tied up. She told me that she would let you go if I killed her. I was completely stunned. Then she held a knife against your throat. And then she slit it. The last thing I saw was how you painfully died." His voice was cracking as his eyes began tearing up. Scorpius wiped them with his free hand.

"That's how I felt when I found you. Seeing you unconscious covered in blood," he told him. Albus grabbed the hand that was wiping his tears and kissed it and then gave it a squeeze. 

"I love you so much," he whispered. Scorpius leaned over to place a kiss on his forehead.

"I love you too, sweetheart," he whispered back.

A few days passed and Albus was out of the hospital wing. He found himself sitting on the bed in his dorm. Then Scorpius came in and took a seat beside him.

"What is that?" Scorpius asked, noticing the letter Albus was holding.

"It's from my mum," he said. "She's got herself her own flat. She offered me to stay there in the summer."

"Will you?" Albus nodded.

"I'm thinking of moving in, and see my dad when I feel like it. You should come visit me there sometime," he said and smiled at his boyfriend.

"You should visit my place as well," Scorpius offered.

"Brilliant! I'll come along with the flying motorbike," Albus joked which made Scorpius laugh.

"Watch out for the hippogriffs then."

A few days later there was another quidditch game. This time Slytherin was playing against Hufflepuff. Although Albus hated quidditch we wanted to watch his boyfriend play and cheer for him, something he'd been wanting to do since Scorpius joined the team.

Scorpius was already at the pitch with his team mates. Albus was heading outside before someone called for him.

"Albus!" he turned around and saw Bianca running towards him. He didn't know how to react since they hadn't spoken in forever, but before he could say anything she threw her arms around his neck. "I'm so sorry, Albus for being an awful friend to you!"

"No worries," Albus lied over her shoulder.

"Yes!" she said and released him. "I should've known that Scorpius was yours all along. A true friend don't steal any boyfriends! So... friends?" She held out her hand.

"Always," Albus said ready to shake her hand. Instead she gently slapped it and ended up fist bumping him, and then gave him another hug.

"So are you coming to see the game?" Bianca asked him.

"I was heading there now so yeah."

They went outside while talking about random stuff.

"To be honest, I never really had feelings for Scorpius after we started dating," said Bianca. Albus looked at her in confusion. "He made me think a bit."

"Thinking of what?" he asked curiously.

"I think I might be a lesbian," she told him, which gave him a shock after the way she acted around Scorpius, but then decided not to question it.

"Okay. Any specific girl that you like?"

"Not really, it's just... I found some girls to be very attractive." Albus understood what she meant. He felt the same way when he started to question his sexuality.

"You can have Rose," he ironically suggested. "I think Scorpius would like that."

"Hah! Yeah right," Bianca laughed.

During the game, Bianca joined Albus with the other Slytherins. The game went on for long and ended up with Slytherin winning with 330 to 270. The Slytherins cheered while Scorpius came flying towards Albus.

"Congratulations!" he screamed since he couldn't hear himself because of the cheering. Scorpius kissed him in response.

After the game, the Slytherins were having a party in the common room. Albus and Scorpius joined them at first, before they headed to their dorm for some privacy.
