Albus's point of view

Saturday came along. Albus kept his letter from Delphi hidden in his drawer. He had made his decision. He was going to see her. This time he would be prepared to defend himself. She wouldn't dare breaking his wand again.

At lunch he made his way straight to Hogsmeade. He didn't feel hungry at all. He just wanted to know what Delphi was up to. But then his thoughts started to calm. Not just because of the honesty in Delphi's voice when she told him she was ill, but her weakness and her weak expression. Maybe she wasn't lying this time.

He spotted a girl outside the Three broomsticks, which he assumed to be Delphi on polyjuice, with dark hair and a sidecut. She wore a black leather jacket, covering a T-shirt with the muggle band Green Day, a pair of black ripped jeans och a pair of dark red boots. She smiled and walked over to him.

"Delphi?" he whispered so quietly he almost lip-synced.

"From now on you call me Diana," she said quietly and leaned in to whisper. "Diana Scrub. She's safely hidden. I'll wipe her memory later."

Safely hidden? Delphi-safe or safe-safe? Not that he would let it distract him.

"Okay, Diana, why did you want to see me?" He tried to keep his voice stable and not freak out. Delphi, or Diana, made her way backwards to the entrance of the pub, giving him a nod to follow her. He did.

"Two butterbeers please," she ordered. "I'll pay," she told Albus and grabbed some coins from her pockets. Albus was hoping that those coins didn't belong to the real Diana, although he wouldn't be surprised if they did.

They took their seats by a table for two. For some reason Albus felt a bit comfortable now that Delphi didn't look like herself.

"So. What happened between you and Scorpius?" she asked.

"I thought we were going to talk about you?" said Albus in confusion.

"Tell me about your life first. Then I'll tell you about mine." Her voice sounded unusually friendly. Or maybe it was just Diana?

"I don't know where to begin. It's a long story."

"Is it because of The Daily Prophet?"

"So you've read it." Albus did not find it surprising at all. "Yeah. That's exactly why. Not to mention that we were teased by the whole school."

"That's it? You just let them win?"

"What choice did we have?" Albus questioned. Delphi leaned forward letting her elbows rest on the table.

"You listen to me now, Albus. I may have been selfish, but I am smart enough to read your emotions. The friendship you had was stronger than anything I'd ever seen. Not to mention that Scorpius was totally into you back then, no need to tell me. And I'm pretty sure you felt the same about him. Don't let any of this ruin it." Albus tried to collect every single word she said, not knowing what to say.

"I appreciate your advise. But Scorpius has already moved on. He's dating a girl I thought was my friend."

"Those kinds of friends don't deserve you. Soon enough Scorpius is going to realize his mistake." Albus couldn't agree more. Besides that he had made a bigger mistake.

"Speak of the devil," he said as he saw Scorpius and Bianca entering the pub.

Scorpius was hugging her from the back as they waited to order. Delphi turned her head to them. Then she looked at Albus again pretending that she didn't see them.

"So what about you?  You told me that you're ill," Albus continued.

"Right," said Delphi preparing to tell him. "It's not very usual. That's why there's no one to help me. It started to affect me when I was in Azkaban. That's why I left. To find you."

"Unfortunately I'm not a doctor..." Albus informed her.

"I know that," Delphi grinned. "I know how to be cured though. That's what I need you for. Because I trust you."

Just as Albus was about to answer he notised that her hair started to grow. The dark shade became lighter, and her face began transforming.

"Del- Diana," he said quietly. "Your hair." She grabbed her locks that just turned blue.

"Oh no!" she said and hid them under her hoodie. "I need to go. We'll talk about it some other time." And then she left her seat storming out of the pub.

Albus could see Scorpius giving her a suspicious look. Then he turned to look at Albus. The boys looked at each other. A minute later Albus was off as well, without saying a word to Scorpius.
