Scorpius's point of view

"So you're here to tell me that Mr Potter is missing?" said professor McGonagall sitting by her desk in her office.

"Exactly," said Scorpius who was sitting across from her. "I haven't seen him all day and James couldn't even find him on the map. I've sent his father an owl."

Just as McGonagall was about to answer they were interrupted by something crashing. Scorpius jumped and looked at the fireplace where Harry was found.

"Mr Potter! You got my letter?" said Scorpius full of hope.

"I got your letter, yes," he stressfully said before Draco appeared as well.

"Dad?" said Scorpius full of happiness and shock.

"Hi Scorpius," his dad said calmly. "Now can someone tell us what's going on?"

"Albus is missing," Scorpius told him.

"You wrote it," Harry pointed out. "Is there anything else to tell? You told me he had been acting strange lately." Scorpius took a deep breath before he explained.

"I think he's been scared of something. He barely slept at nights. I spoke to him last night, last time I saw him, and his whole body was shaking. A few days ago he was crying." He paused. "I think something happened to him." Harry seemed to be terrified right now.

"Something like what?" he asked in a serious tone, so Draco had to calm him down.

Scorpius thought about it. Then it hit him. Delphi! How could he be so stupid? Now the only hint that could tell him where Albus was was to find out what she wrote to him.

"I think I know what happened," he said and was ready to leave the office.

"What do you think happened?" Harry hissed.

"I need to check something in the dorm. I'll be right back," Scorpius said before rushing out not paying attention on their reactions.

As he made his way to the common room he bumped into Bianca.

"Scorpius!" she said. "Where have you been?"

"Bea, Albus is missing, and I think I know what happened to him. I need to find out where he is because it scares me to think that he might be..." He couldn't finish the sentence since his voice was shaking. There's no way Albus could be dead. He refused to believe it. Bianca gave him a hug.

"Don't worry. You'll find him," she said and held him for a beat. She released the hug and leaned in for a kiss.

"No," said Scorpius and backed off.

"What's wrong?" said Bianca rather upset.

"Bea I... I do love you but..." He didn't know how to explain. But then the words somehow escaped his mouth. "you're not Albus."

There was a silence.

"I understand," said Bianca and gave him one last hug. "I hope you find him." And then she was off.

As he entered his dorm he began digging through Albus's stuff. He checked his trunk, all his books incase something was hidden there. Then he checked his drawer. There he found a bunch of letters. Bingo! He read them all until the sentence the abandoned pub was found.

He heard the door swing open and his dad entered.

"Scorpius, can you please tell me what's going on?" he asked calmly. "Harry is about to explode out there unless he finds out where Albus is."

"Dad, you need to read this," said Scorpius and gave him the letter. He read it and seemed to understand how bad it was when Delphi's name appeared.

"The abandoned pub. Isn't that-"

"The hog's head," Scorpius finished for him. "Ins't there a secret passage there in the room of requirement?"

"It was blocked when the bar shut down." Scorpius looked down on his feet. "Don't worry. Harry and I will check there."

"I'm coming," Scorpius insisted. Draco shook his head.

"It's too dangerous for you. You need to get some sleep anyway. We'll find him before you wake up."

"No way! I'm not giving up until he's safe." Draco was about to open his mouth but Scorpius continued. "A man once told be to take care of the one I love as long as I have him. Don't you remember? I'm going to find him. Before it's too late." Draco fell silent and then hugged his son.

"On one condition," he said over his shoulder. "If I tell you to hide, or save yourself, you do it." Scorpius couldn't promise any of that but nodded anyway. He just wanted to find Albus.

* * * * *

All three of them made their way to the pub. They looked at the building.

"So apparently we can't get through the door. Not even by using alohomora," said Draco.

"The letter said that there was a secret passage on the side of the building," Scorpius reminded.

"Or maybe it's easier to apparate inside," Harry suggested. Draco nodded in agreement.

"Grab my arm, Scorpius," he said. Scorpius did as he was told with no hesitation. Apparating with his dad was nothing new for him.

They crept around when they were inside. There was no sign of Albus to be found, and no sound could be heard.

"Are we sure we're in the right place?" Draco whispered. Harry ignored him.

"Albus!" he shouted. No response.

They decided to separate and look for him in each direction. Draco followed Scorpius for his safety. They entered a room where Scorpius found something on the floor. He rushed over to pick it up. It was the cloak of invisibility. He could feel the smell of Albus. He shot a terrified look at his dad.

"He's been here. Get Harry," said Scorpius.
